Has Goose made a new song since their album? Maybe 1. This band even though it's getting more popular has been on a downward spiral musically for a while now. Let's hope they get their mojo back with a new drummer. I have a new King Gizzard song every week and Goose is just playing the same old stuff. I know Shapiro wants them to be Phish but Phish is tired and stale now.

It’s a similar sounding bit but why is it a bad thing? They are heavily influenced by Phish, they literally went on tour with Trey. They could have been listening to some of the Phish ‘98 Euro stuff in honor of the band that came before them and played a lot of the same venues?! I don’t see why it is a band thing if they have Phish influence coming out in their music? As a matter of fact, I love that they do because Phish is also my #1 biggest musical influence. I see it as nothing more than them having reverence for Phish and why should that be a bad thing?

Yeah, they are influenced by them which means sometimes that influence is going to show. It sounds like you’re a big Phish fan, as am I. In my opinion this is one of the reasons that makes me like Goose more than other jam bands. I just don’t understand when people say it’s a bad thing to have influences. I play guitar too and guess what? My phrasing sounds like Trey or Rick sometimes, I think it’s dope. It means I have a deep respect for what they do.

@@BigWahly23 bisco, umph, moe, sci, sts9 etc are all influenced by trey and the boys but dont sound like them at all. In fact none of those bamds sound similiar... they have their own unique sound. Goose doesnt have that yet.
