Every time I go for a run a goose comes at me like this to protect the babies.

Interestingly enough they do throw those wings like fists. I have seen ganders lock up with one another and just exchange left and right hooks until one of them gave up. Happens pre breeding season when the ganders are trying to claim the best geese, but they will throw hands year round if u mess with em, goose or gander
@patrickb-man1309 Жыл бұрын
@@quinntonb1626 Jogging on this same path another day with my dog on an extendable leash, my dog charged toward the baby geese near the water just off the path. The mama (I think) goose ran back at my small dog who tried to run away from the goose. The goose jumped on my dog’s back and proceeded to flap its wings on my dog. It was pretty funny actually, and my dog didn’t charge toward any of them any more for several months until I guess she finally forgot about it happening.

A goose hissed at me while I was trying to save it, its partner and their baby goslings from getting run over in traffic. @@polygamygaming7526fear of pain is a good deterrent. being fierce can convince a potential enemy you're not worth fighting. kinda like "I know you can kill me, but if you try you won't escape unscathed. Are you prepared for that? if not, back off". other examples I can think of are cats being able to chase off a bear or most animals avoiding wasps by the way, a goose can cause significant damage with a powerful wing slap or a bite with their jagged beaks (I'm not kidding, look up goose teeth. i know they aren't real teeth but ouch 😂)
