covers "Country Roads," "Elvira," "Listen to the music," "working for a living," and of coarse "Butts melody (remix)" a nice round mix sampling of Home Free to start you off. can't forget to add Adam Rupp's "Drum Solo" (this was live. so use the older one with the most views, it has the best video and sound quality.)

Home Free is the best--period. It's easy to forget they are completely acapella and make all "instrumental" sounds themselves. In this song they are making a distinct southern (country blues) presentation--it definitely fits the lyrics of the song. Chance doing the jaw harp sound really sets the stage for this song's story, which Austin's twang fits phenomenally. Tim's bass line completely grounds the harmonies and Adam's voice percussion simply cannot be beat. This performance highlights a lot of Home Free's strengths although they also handle ANY other genre just as amazingly❣️🎼🥰🎶❤️ Some of my favorites are "Working for a Living", "Good 'Ol Country Harmony", "Land of the Free", "Remember This", "Elvira" (with the Oak Ridge Boys), "Undivided", "Ain't Goin' Down 'Til the Sun Comes Up" (which is not on YT--it's on their official Facebook page), "Listen to the Music", "What's Left of My Heart", "Understand", and "Road Sweet Road" 😍!

@randyfergus87812 жыл бұрын
Tim is a true basso profundo with an effective range of 5 octaves. He actually sings a tenor part on their cover of Mayday. The singer in the back roe on the left is Chance, their baritone who is capable of virtually the same bottom end as Tim but falls short of the same upper range. He also is the one responsible for the "jaw harp" sound at the beginning and end of the song. My wife and I have seem them live twice and they're every bit as awesome on stage. I highly recommend their cover of Crosby, Stills, and Nash"s "Helplessly Hoping" and their cover of "American Pie" done WITH Don McLean at his request to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the song's release.

Home Free is incredible. Everything they do is great. And although they are a Country A-cappela group, they can really sing all genres. They really all have great voices with their own specialties. Even Adam Rupp who started the group with his brother Chris Rupp. Chris left the group in 2016 to go solo but also to start other projects with his sister, among others. Adam Rupp-Beatboxer but is actually an inhuman freaking good mouth artist. Tim Foust- Deep bass but also as a tenor and everything in between is possible. Austin Brown-High tenor. Powerful with his great runs and high notes. Rob Lundquist (beard and glasses)-Tenor, with a voice like velvet and so much soul. So warm, so rich. A great whistler. Adam Chance (back left, who is called Chance) - Baritone/ Bass, a voice so smooth and sexy. And who here also makes the Jaw harp sound. There is no lead singer in Home Free. They look at every song whose voice suits it best, no egos, no rivalries, great personalities etc. Besides, they can all beatbox (see their live performance 9to5). .. This is one of the many covers they do in addition to various originals, and each one is just amazing.

Oh Home Free is the real deal. They won the NBC show the Sing Off and have been going strong ever since. They are country but sing all genres of music. They also write and sing their own songs. They can all sing and all take the lead depending on the song. Tim, the bass, has a 5 octave range so he can sing super low and then sing up with the tenors (not kidding). The beatboxer is crazy talented. Watch Adam Rupp Drum Solo (2015). It’s older but shows just him with the mike and doing drums….remarkable! They also don’t mind being silly as all get out. Christmas songs you might like Do You Hear What I Hear…beatboxer arranged it. Mary Did You Know, O Holy Night, are serious songs Full of Cheer, Cold Hard Cash are originals and funny. Enjoy the journey!!!!

You have just been introduced to the best a cappella group out there. These guys are all so talented. They lean towards country but they can do any genre. They all can take the lead depending on whos voice is best for the song. They are known for their tight harmonies. Tim Foust is one of the best bass singers out there & their beatboxer vocal percussionist Adam Rupp can simulate any sound. This song is very old & is done in the bluegrass country style. It was used in the movie "Oh Brother Where Art Thou" starring George Clooney.

New subscriber and great reaction, too! I love it when people discover Home Free. They are a freakishly talented group of fellas! They can make you laugh sometimes, they can make you cry sometimes but they always impress. Here's a cheat sheet on the group: Adam Rupp, co-founder of HF and the awesome beatboxer. Tim Foust, bass. He has a five-octave range. Robb Lundquist (glasses and beard) Tenor Harmony. Austin Brown, Lead Tenor. Adam Chance, Baritone ( goes by Chance). Chance replaced Chris Rupp (co-founder) who left in 2016. Take Me Home Country Roads is phenomenal but you might also want to check out Dreamer, When A Man Loves A Woman, End Of The Road, One Man Band, I Swear, Blue Ain't Your Color, Dive Bar Saints and Folsom Prison Blues. For some funny ones: Butts Medley, All About That Bass, Champagne Taste, Hillbilly Bone. For some serious ones: How Great Thou Art, Go Rest High On That Mountain. When you are familiar with all the boys and their vocal roles, do Mayday. And last but not least, Brothers In Arms. It is haunting and beautiful. They have recently released several new songs that you will want to check out. Welcome to the Home Free rabbit hole!

Home Free's fans are called Home Fries, that name started when they were on The Sing Off Season 4, which they won. We'll start with the high tenor Austin Brown who had the lead, however they hand the lead around. The tenor beard, glasses & overalls is Rob Lundquist. The bass who has a 5 octave range is Tim Foust. The baritone/bass that was making the mouth harp sound is Adam Chance. And the beatbox extraordinaire is Adam Rupp. If you liked hearing Tim's bass here, I highly suggest Brothers in Arms, or Misty Mountain with Peter Hollen, it'll blow your mind. Great reaction, & I promise if you continue down the Home Free rabbit hole, the Home Fries will come & sub because we absolutely love our guy's. Btw, they don't just do Country, they can do any genre. ❤️🍟
@MrTwister2422 жыл бұрын
Thanks for the great reaction, now you're gonna get home fries all over the channel. :-) Obviously this was heavily arranged, mixed, produced in the studio with multiple tracks for the same singer. Adam would not be able to do drums and harmonica at the same time like that if it was live. But that doesn't make it any less a capella or any less impressive. It's amazing how they each master their craft and how well they blend together. And while the majority may be country, they still ventured successfully in many other genres. Besides the obvious recommendation for 'Ring of Fire', they also have some underrated songs. 'Can't stop the Feeling' and 'End of the Road' in particular deserve more praise and attention as far as I'm concerned. And from their own songs 'Cross that Bridge' will never go out of my playlist.
@StevesTubes2 жыл бұрын
Adam makes use of a loop machine in concert so that he can do percussion and still do other special effects. In this song they loop Chance's "jaw harp" so he can also sing. Adam does some amazing things with his loop machine during his "drum solo".

That's Adam Rupp - beatboxer/percussionist extraordinaire playing his infamous "nomonica". When they perform this live Adam Rupp and Austin Brown (lead in this song) both play the nomonica. They are aliens - we all think so. 😆 At some point Spencer needs to see Adam's "drum solo". It's on Russell Wolff's yt channel. He's wearing a red plaid shirt and it has 1.5 million views - there are several, but this is the one we recommend first. OH MY GOD. I NEVER THOUGHT ID SEE THE DAY. Are we really doing this are we really going down the acapella journey cause we all know that pentatonix and voiceplay are coming now there watching home free.... I didn't think these guys would ever go down the aca road. Ight well here is a guide to the three groupes this one voice play and pentatonix (I'm writing this before the reaction so idk if you've heard of anything Im about to say already) home free has tim foust as the sexy bass Adam as the beatboxer and one of the best at that chance as the baritone/2nd bass Austin as the lady's man tenor and rob as the adorable high tenor. For voiceplay Geoff is the master composer bass singer who is good friends with Tim and home free even composing and putting together the cover of Elvira that home free uses when singing with the original singers the oak ridge boys. Then Layne is there beatboxer once again a master composer like Geoff. Eli is there baritone/tenor and Cesar the incredibly pationate tenor (they are a groupe of 4 who have had altering members over the years but currently only 4 having a new guest feature for most songs. And finally the biggest acapella groupe in the world and one of the biggest Christmas music makers of recent pentatonix. There bass is Avi(up to 2017) and Matt (2017-current) Scott there riff/run king who is a baritone but can cover both tenor and bass. Kevin there beatboxer but is also a expert in multiple instruments but most noticeable the cello named Beyonce Kirstin is the only female singer of the groupes and she is just stunning 24/7 and last but most definitely not least we have Mitch who is just......wow his high notes are a force to be reckoned with. I truly cannot wait to see your reactions to the groupes and the utter MASTERPIECES they all produce. From UK and comedy reactions to this your the gift that truly keeps giving

Check out Home Free Drum Solo. The original is where Adam is in the red plaid shirt. Then watch the ones from 2021-22 to see how much he's improved. Yeah, things are on loop but that only for him to add more sounds to the mix. They did a great video for Dolly's 9 to 5. Watch the one with the office setting, then 9 to 5 + Beatboxing Breakdown. There's actually 2 versions of that one; Chris Rupp, in the red shirt, left the group in 2016 and Adam Chance joined them. I like the one with Chris because the setup and lighting is better at that theater, not because the group was better then. It wasn't. And as to Tim's beard, that's all you're going to get. He admitted that on Chris Rupp's channel. Oh, yeah, you can't go wrong in checking out their video Southerner in the Snow. Not a music video, it's Tim and (another) Chris driving from Nashville to Adam's place in Minnesota. A great glimpse into their lives as friends.
