Goped Fitting fuel lines and filter

Here are some tricks to get the new fuel lines fitted to your Goped. I think this was a liquimatic 2 stroke model with the Komatsu engine. It also shows how to fit the filter in the petrol tank.

goped should send you a gsr-46r because i ended up drilling out my holes and using stihl grommets - this important information is elusive

Never saw barb installed on blue line but saw it pop into place , how was it intstalled ?

Thanks for this. Having trouble getting the fit to be tight enough so that fuel doesn't leak out the edges. I tried some epoxy around the edges but still no luck. Thanks.

You shouldn't really need epoxy, have you got all of the correct parts or is it a bodge job?

bootsowen I've got all the correct parts, got the little black barb and the filters inside the lines, pulled them half through but it's just not tight enough. Franky Alvarez I've tried super glue and the fuel just melted through it after a couple miles and it sitting over night.

Is one gas line sapose to stay to the bottom while one suck air

one line bring in gas(the one with the filter) and the other returns all the unused gas from the carburetor

Do both of the pipes go into the petrol?

one goes up from the tank to the carb and the other returns excess fuel to the tank. Only the one with the filter on the end has to rest in the petrol for it to work.

what size are the gas lines?

About 5 or 6 mm. You can buy them on eBay.

Great video and very helpful if you don't need your hands and face anymore and is that why your wearing gloves. Could you recommend a more dangerous way of softening the fuel lines to insert the ferrules like maybe using a blow torch instead of a match and does the tank need to be full of fuel or should there be just an ambient mist of explosive vapours!
