Decided to do this throttle slack mod, I used a 16gauge brad nail that i bent/crimped around the cable sheath and trimmed after i got it set up. If the cable itself stretches i can add addition brad nails as "spacers", super easy setup. GoPed GP460 with 7/72@6700Feet of elevation goes about 35-36mph all out!!

One could also go and buy a BMX brake lever which has a cable adjuster built in to it and as the cable ages/stretches you can adjust it on the fly.

The flaw is not in the lever, it's in the cable. There should be a ferule at the end of the cable. The lever housing is not machined out too big, it's big enough for the ferule.

I have a new Go-ped Interceptor and I am having trouble tuning it. There are no videos anywhere online that explains how to do it. They all show someone tuning their Go-ped without explanation and without even showing where to tune. The instruction manual doesn’t have instructions too. The video it has linked is more of a commercial than anything. Can you please help me with this issue because every time I try to tune my engine it begins to lightly smoke and I shut it off. Thank you

I know this was awhile ago but is the throttle cable spring essential? I purchased: *BF/GSR Throttle Cable - Braided Carbon (71.5")* from DDM.. I have a GSR Cruiser. Is cable length ok? Also is the spring for throttle needed? walbro 990 carburetor, Zenoah G290RC. Are the RC engines built for Peds as well?

The throttle cable spring just helps keep the cable from popping out of the pivot on the throttle shaft.

Why all go peds have lever throttle? Is it uncomfortable to ride a go ped with twist throttle?

with a scooter having a twist throttle is dangerous, I personally think why is your standing on a board with no restraints, also if you get on a torn up road you have to have a firm grasp on the handle bars, with a twist throttle it would be hard to stay riding while keeping in control................
