Just in case no one's pointed this out where it's easily viewed, that third volume was the ENTIRE story from The Elder Scrolls I: Arena. And the first four games in The Elder Scrolls series cover the last fifty or so years of Urial Septem VII.

I was wondering if theyd mention the older games specifically

I really like how radically different the biography story (which was clearly written by imperials) is so different from 'the real barenziah' books.

This book is amazing because it is a direct example of how deep and believable to Elder Scrolls world is.

Gopher, many times I came across these books in-game, yet everytime I did not have the time or the will to read them. As a complete lore-geek when it comes to games(any game really), I felt slightly bad that I didn't read them, but now, with you reading these books, I can finally play the game without feeling regret every time I pass these books, thank you so much. And honestly, you got a terrific reading voice, very calm and patient.

The story of Jagar Tharn userping Uriel VII and the recovery of the Staff of Chaos IS the full story of Arena. It was a bit light on plot. Also, the player character from Oblivion is more commonly know as the Hero of Kvatch. Because that's your first and biggest independant action. After that you're basically working for Martin and Jaufre.

This is a perfect summary of Arena. I played Arena, but I don't actually remember a character named Barenzia in it. Uriel Septim VII and Ria Silmane were in it though. You are the champion, and Ria gives you a vision. You find a key in the cell you are in....thus, you are that champion, and guided by Ria's visions, you begin your quest to find the missing pieces of the staff. :)

Well, to the best of my knownledge, with the exceptions of the ones that use magic to extend their lives dramatically, most Dunmer/Altmer live to be over 300-500 years old, unless otherwise killed.

Uriel Septim VII was alive through three first TES games, and Biography of Barenziah describes the storyline of TES: Arena. I wish someone would make a completed version with volume IV and V, since she made her appearance in Daggerfall and Morrowind's expansion - Tribunal also.

Yes is the story from the first elder scrolls game called Arena (at least part of it). Uriel Septim VII was the emperor in the first game and he`s always the emperor until he dies in Oblivion.

You should read "The Real Barenziah v1 through v5. LONG. It took me about 2 1/2 hours to read all of it. In those books, you'll find many differences. Straw was not wicked or devious, just simple; they went to Whiterun, not Riften (or "Rifton"); Barenziah was the one who met Therris (Straw hated him); and Barenziah did agree to help the two rob the Imperial Commanant's house, and she was caught in the act along with them.

Uriel Septim VII was the Emperor for all the previous Elder Scrolls games. He, of, course died at the beginning of Oblivion, and Skyrim takes place 200 years later during the Mede Dynasty.

@Vorsham I believe the average for the Colovians and Nedes is around 80. Nords have roughly the same. Redguard average life span is around 110s. Bretons also live fairly long lives.
@TheWuestenratte12 жыл бұрын
Yes, that was the story of "Arena". And Uriel Septim VII was the emperor you meet at the beginning of Oblivion. Evey time I read a book in Skyrim, Gopher's voice now sounds in my head. Which is a good thing. *g*
@samuelphillippi12 жыл бұрын
This is the plot to Daggerfall. With "Champion" being the PC. It may also extend into Tribunal, I'm not 100% positive. I love your reading books, Richard is definitely a great character.
@Karnork12 жыл бұрын
Uriel Septim VII was the emperor for 65 years in the third era, all TES games except Skyrim and Online, took place in this era and Uriel was in them all. In arena you save him. In daggerfall he sends you to exorcise the undead king of daggerfall.
@chiu20044b12212 жыл бұрын
Uriel Septim VII was actually in all of The Elder Scrolls game till he finally got killed off at the beginning of Oblivion. On top of that he was important to the plot in some way or another in all of them too. I wouldn't be surprised if his ghost crops up in the next DLC or something.

Jagar Tharn has only been confirmed alive in the first Elder Scrolls game, so this probably takes place during that time setting, so like you said; This story most likely takes place during Arena. Also, in Arena, Jagar Tharn is pictured holding a staff. Could the the Staff of Chaos.

Oh, and yes, Uriel Septim VII is alive in TES1-4. The games only take place a few years apart from each other. That's why Skyrim was so strange to me originally. It takes place 200 years later than Oblivion...

6:40 Im sorry, but I could not help to crack up when you read "praised...CHASTITY"....Tipycal imperial lies XD

Yes, I think Uriel Septim VII is the Emperor in all of the ES games. Or at least Arena (where he was kidnapped by Jagar Tharn), Morrowind (he's the one sending you on your quest) and Oblivion (obviously). Don't know about Daggerfall though. And, by the way, if you read "The Nightingales Volume 2", you can learn more about this Nightingale and Jagar Tharn. Although you may have to be a thief to get that book I think...
@ArugalSwe11 жыл бұрын
have you thought on reading the Wolf queen books :)? would love it
@sirenAri12 жыл бұрын
The Champion in this story (named "Eternal Champion" in some references) is from TES: Arena (TES1). The story of assembling the Staff of Chaos is the main plot of Arena. The PC is called different things in different games. According to UESP, here are the other main names: Daggerfall: the Agent Battlespire: the Apprentice Morrowind: Nerevarine Oblivion: (ultimately called) Champion of Cyrodiil and of course... Skyrim: Dovahkiin uesp. net/wiki/Lore:Hero (take out the spaces)
@sirenAri12 жыл бұрын
Originally Battlespire was going to be an expansion for Daggerfall, but the game started getting so huge that they decided to make it another game entirely and not tie it to Daggerfall. The Daedric Crescent that you can get in Morrowind is one of the main symbols of Battlespire and even seen on the cover of the game.

He's using a mod called Dovahkiin Relaxes Too. This allows you to run through the various animations normally restricted to the NPCs. Here is a link to the mod on the Nexus: skyrim.nexusmods . com / mods / 13931 (Without the spaces. KZbin isn't allowing me to post links.)

1.) Volume Three was TES: Arena. 2.) Yes, sir. Uriel Septim was the Emperor in TES I - IV. 3.) In the first versions of Daggerfal, she was in the main quest an appeared Breton. In later bersions she was made Dunmer. 4.) She was in the Tribunal expansion, as well. 5.) In one of the boooks of Skyrim, one of "The Nightingales" volumes written by Gallus, it revelas that Karliah is Barenziah's grandaughter.
@Bluukeson12 жыл бұрын

I decided to use the names before any expansions since not everyone would get them. Otherwise in addition to Madgod for Oblivion, the Nerevarine would have been Blodskaal for Morrowind. Either way, yes I see what you mean, but I was really just going with the main names for the vanilla games. ;)

Add Morrowind overhaul v3 to that and it looks awesome (considering it's now over 10 years old xD). The only problem with that is that it is very heavy on the CPU since it cannot use more than one thread, your overclock should help with that though :D.
