i'm using linear lens, do you think it's better to use the wide lens?

Thanks! What color profile should I film in with a Gopro8 if I want to grade the footage afterward? Flat, or gopro color?
@RyutaOg2 жыл бұрын
No problem, thanks for watching! If you have plenty of sunlight and are planning to grade the footage then film in flat!

Dude. If you did behind the scenes videos of finding these sea turtles & dolphins, your channel would grow rapidly..

Thanks for the idea! I definitely wanna make video like this in the future :) My idea would be to go take photos of lets say Killer whales and i'll try to film it as Vlog and tell the story of the journey before i get the final photos!

@@RyutaOg hahahaha okey i will bro, i mean i have the idea now but still i tried really hard to shoot in a good lighting condition but the weather and underwater clarity seems to avoid me most of the time😆

I See the difference Between my Sony RX100M7 and the GoPro. On Cloudy days and bad water, the RX100 Make Always great Sharp and clear picture and GoPro in comparison is blurry like all is out of focus. I am a bit disapointed because my 10 years old GoPro Hero3+ does better and Sharp shot than the heroe 10 on bad condition, i think it's a Shame that an 10 years old device does better than the actual. Outside and with good condition, the heroe 10 Clearly beat the heroe 3+, but it's odd that Make "blurry" picture in Not optimal conditions and Not just sharp and too grainy (i prefer grainy picture than out of focus like.). I also use Red filter so i dont need to Make color grading (or using video light).

Yep i agree with the sony camera's doing a better job in low light underwater! I still get pretty nice photos with the A7III even on cloudy days. As for the hero 10 vs the Hero 3, i think the hero 10 should perform better? Maybe try with a high default shutter speed on cloudy dark days? Ill try to give it a go next time im out diving! Which red filter do u use//recommend? I kind of want to try one out and see the difference versus graded.

@@RyutaOg I use polarpro filter that fit easily on GoPro 9 and 10. You can get the tree pack , One light Red for Shallow water, One Red for Deep blue water and One margenta for green water. Note also you loss a little bit light with filter but it add all red colors that missing. It's Not perfect as using a video light but it does a great job. For the GoPro 10, i dont know what wrong. If i Remember, on m'y old GoPro Hero3+, i shoot 1080p 50fps and on m'y 10, 4k 50fps too. Only thing that can.change Between Both is how the camera "process" the video on Low light condition and, the GoPro 10 are able or Not to down the Shutter Speed less than 50fps when it's Low light (like Low light mode on many camera thant goes on 25/15fps even If you are on 50fps). If it dow less than 50 that can does blurry & out of focus picture dues to too Low Shutter. Or the algorithmes of compression are less efficient than old GoPro Hero3 ?

@@BakaNewsNetwork Thanks for the info!! I think I'll order that set and try out some different setups with it. I was gonna get a underwater light either way as i wanted to do some night diving. I've never personally used the hero 3 so not too sure about that but I would hope the algorithm gets better with the newer devices. Hmm I think maybe increase the ISO to 800 if it's really low light and keep the shutter speed on auto and let the gopro sort it out itself is what I would do if the photos were super blurry. I'll take some photos this weekend and report back!

@@RyutaOg I have found my old GoPro Hero3 and have check the settings. The only possible settings on this model is the resolution, framerate and Lens settings (narrow/wide). It's possible (If have no settings) on this old model that have no iso processing and it ad no noise or blurry when bad light (less good on Low light but better image quality) i will test If i can with a fixed Max iso on 400. I will also does more test on vacancy to Philippines in clear water and See If it's Always good quality.

Yeah but you Don't want to Always Use Slow Motion. I think that one you Regret not using the Higher Frame Rate, Actually Looks Good.
@RyutaOg2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that might be true in some cases actually! I'll try to do some more tests in the future with the lower frames rates too:)
