No this is not what rampage used to be, buffing out all your lines and not taking any speed through your run but juat tip toeing down the mountain.​@fadjarroosdianto6079 I was also voting for bdawg but watching all the runs back, other than 1 banger that was done 5 or whatever years ago like it was not even new. Everything else was comparatively smaller features with strait airs. If you don't want tricks then that includes backies and take all the lips off and stop buffing yhe course. But stop pitching because your guy didn't win. This is exactly why fans and or riders can't judge because the bias outweighs the skill

As a guy from Poland, I’ve of course wanted Godziek to win, however I have to give it to Brendog - his line was the essence of freeride. 76 points for this performance was not event a joke… - I think it’s the time to change the judging criteria for this event or just to accept it as a slopestyle competition in a nice mountainous scenery.. Keepin it real Brendog - mad respect for that!

I just think Rampage has an identity crisis on its hands. I’m convinced that no one really knows what it’s supposed to be or what “freeride” is exactly and that’s why the judging is all over the place. I really think they should just make it an exhibition and give out awards like “gnarliest line”, “best save”, “best trick”, etc. Why even score it at this point

Considering some of the judges were guys I respected as riders is making this rate even more disapointing. From Bender I don't expect anything. From Greg Watts I can understand. But Berrecloth and PEF what is the point with this rating on Faiclough's run ? I guess freeride can be considered dead at this point

Look at the line at 00:17 I've never seen something so risky at rampage! It's a lily pad, to shark fin, to curved wall ride, on the edge of a god damn cliff! His whole run was critical line after critical line with literal inches of margin for error. The rest of the guys are doing amazing stuff, but they are going off 3 foot wide lips into 10 foot wide landings. It's not even in the same ballpark. Even when Brendog did a lip to landing feature, flipping over a damn canyon, his landing was only a bike length long! And he did it all absolutely perfect.

You have articulated my thoughts on it exactly. He was riding zero-margin, high consequence lines, that are goat tracks. And he nailed it with absolute precision. By comparison some of the other guys are pulling bigger tricks with more amplitude, but onto 10 foot by 30 foot landings. And even in Godziek's run (which was awesome), he cased hard on one of the smaller features at one point. Brendog couldn't afford to case anything.

Yes this is why everyone is biased to him being the peoples champ. Everyone that is bitching about the winner was watching brendawgs build series on you tube and got personally attached and invested. If you watch all the top 6 runs back, his run was far surpassed. I do think he deserved to be in the 80s but low 80s. Other than his one his wonder that had already been done years before, everything else was on the lamer side of the scale. 2 flips 1 sui and the rest strait airs down a perfectly buffed course not even carrying speed or super style or anything. Reality sucks. I was pulling for him too but in the end, I think the true winner was crowned

@@tjpighin yeah everyone was cutting there own lines into a 70ft backflip over the canyon gap, or gap jumping down a cliff face🤦‍♂️. High 80's at a minimum. You didn't need to watch the KZbin build to see that this run wasn't groomed over the years, like several other runs. The risk was as high as the originality and creativity. Should've been way higher scored.

Not to mention the speed and style the other competitors carried down the mountain vs his run was insane. He was tip toeing in many spots when he should have been charging like the other competitors. I also though he should have been scored higher but never did I think his one trick that he has already done in previous years beat a new record and extremely difficult front flip or price is right flip or many of Brandon's nbd jumps not to mention them actually racing sown the mountain

Awesome run. I watched all your dig days leading up. Super technical shouts and the crazy back flip over the canyon was insane. I cant believe they ranked you that low on the list.
