GoPro Hero 10 - Mic Adapter Options

While the GoPro Hero 10 does sound good straight out of camera there are other options. I recorded this test in my home office.

Place sponge or a deadcat over the 3 onboard microphones, and leave wind reduction disabled. You can also boost the volume later in post-production.

I'm getting mix information. Do you mean that I can use the audio adapter for my go pro 10 and does it work for the 12? I have been reading that it only works for he 7,8,9. Please let me know.

Yes it works, I found that the first time I tried it, I wasn't getting the mic audio. I unplugged it while on and plugged it back in. I used the GoPro app to test before making a longer clip

Ok so I’m new to GoPro. I have a 10hero black. Is there a pass thru door on ur cam in the vid? With the media mod can you still attach GoPro to chest mount or other mounts?

There is a usb-c input on the back of the media mod for powering but I get weird audio interference with it. All mounts work but getting that screw in sometimes is a pain

You might be able to route a output from the mixer to the GoPro media adapter or Media mod with the headphone port

You can, I have had issues with audio interference at times.

I can't get the mic adapter to work at all even after a factory reset, firmware update, etc. It just shows N/A under Media Mod. Checks that I have done: 1. My 3.5mm pro adapter is in working condition. (Checked the same in my Hero 5 Black) 2. 3.5 mm mic is working check the same in my Hero 5 Black cam 3. Hero 10's camera mics are working perfectly. Idk, why it's picking up only the camera mic even though the I am using the 3.5mm Pro Adapter. Please help!
