You've mentioned how much you strive for perfection, so seeing a mistake like this (and dude, it happens..) is kind of cool actually. Taking it in stride, adding a comment with the correct info and let's move on. You don't get to a 100 videos in a year by being perfect. Good for you man! And also when it happens to us, we can say "happens to the best of 'em" 😎

I don't know if this has already been said, BUT you don't need the Max lens in order to use the Max Lens setting (which allows for the 360 horizon leveling). You can just enable that max lens setting, it'll put you into the Max Lens video mode, and you'll be able to do the 360 horizon leveling just fine. The only difference will be the actual Max Lens will give you that extra wide, fish-eye type view, if that's your thing.

YES! Please make a photo video for those of us who want to be able to shoot everything with one little camera! The simplicity of only carrying one camera (and batteries, etc.) is my hope and I want to be able to point and shoot photos in the least amount of time with my camera in my pocket, or close, but not in my hand. I want to be able to do time lapse shooting from my helmet chin mount while riding my motorcycle along a beautiful road or trail so when I see something I don't have to stop, get my camera out, turn it on, take a picture and put it away, only to see another great shot around the next curve. Would recording video be better, I wonder? Then pulling still pictures from the video? Most of my pictures are posted on motorcycle forums just to share. Nothing of the highest quality is needed, just nice shots to share. I ordered a GP9 last night from your link and I really like your videos. You have been very helpful already and I don't even have a GoPro yet. I was going to order a GP7 Black but watching your videos convinced me the 9 Black would be much better for my intended use. I'm a subscriber now but I don't do any of the social website stuff. At 66 I'm really not interested in spending more time online, my motorcycle forums take up all the free time (and more) that I have. Now KZbin is my TV watching and I am learning so much about so many things. One new thing I learned is that Skittles and Life Savers are important to understand taking good video. I need to watch that one again... Thanks for making such fun and informative videos!

dual charger for the 9 is out. I got mine yesterday. USB A does typically have a label indicating which side is up. Whatever side has the usb symbol is the up side. On generic crap cables they may not have the label, but a high majority have this. If it is a gopro branded cable, the gopro logo will be where the usb symbol should be. I always just look at the connector first, but a little sharpie mark could make life easier.

You can't remove sharpness in post. Or at least when you do, it doesn't look very good. So if I were to set it to Medium or High, then in post realize that it was way too sharp, I wouldn't have a way of removing it clean. So I set to low and add sharpness in post, which you can do easily and have it look really good!👍

Thank you David for these tips!!! I finally got a Gopro and it was a Hero 9. I know Hero 11 is out but this is my first and I reviewed the difference between 9 & 10 and decided the 9 for the cost. I wanted accessories so I went slightly older on the Camera to get a few. We are going camping soon and I can't wait to try it out!! The first will be used for a backup camera mounted to our toolbox in the bed of the truck to hook our 5th wheel up! Thinking it will be easier than my husband yelling at me that I can't help properly. 😂 Then the rest will be on the trip!! What fun!!

I'm assuming you figured this out by now, when you set a manual shutter speed the camera needs to fluctuate the ev itself to keep exposure correct. Basically you are trading ev controll for shutter controll.

Hi me again for the pre settings mine seem to be different to what you explain I have Standard, Activity, Cinematic & Slo-Mo! Where do I find the Travel, POV & POV1? Many thanks again. Steve
@kylemurray70863 жыл бұрын
You have to create them with the “+” button
@SpaceCadet4Jesus3 жыл бұрын
"+" option at bottom of video options. Then once you make your preferences, a swipe down brings you to a preset naming list. If you scroll the list you will find Travel and POV. If you create another set of preferences using an already used name (in this case POV), it will append a "1" so you have your POV1. Choosing custom does not give you option to type the name but rather saves a profile under "Custom". Too bad we cannot create these profiles in the app, which would give us a keyboard to allow renaming them. Maybe in a future firmware update?
