GoPro Hero 9 Black VS my NEW DJI Osmo Action 3! Best Vlog quality!

Thanks! I was looking for a comparisson between the Hero9 and the Action 3. I've returned mine (build 09) because of the soft imaging and focus issue. I never was that big of a Gopro fan, mainly because of their prices. But I considering a Hero9 now. They're dropped quite on the price now. Strange to see, your OA3 actually lacks a lot of detail compared to the Gopro inside. But outside It's much more decent. Although I think the Gopro still shows more detail here. BTW I also had problems with SD-cards on the OA3, I got these messages of too slow SD-cards (even when recording on 1080p). It was recording, but sometimes had some stuttering or even turned off recording. But the Hero9 handles SD-cards better? Other downside of the OA3 was the relatively big file size on 1080p recordings. It was taking away the effort of recording in 1080p completely. I also noticed that the OA3 was using about 10% of space for aditional thumbnail files. Which is a waste of storage to my opinion.

DJI Pocket 2 is nice and pocketable. It has been great taking on hikes. I have been enjoying that and considering the Osmo Action 3 since there's more bang for your pocket and I'm used to DJI and their gymbal stabilization. Definitely a great video to show the comparison between GoPro and DJI.

Nice review! This is the one I've been waiting for because these two are about the same price if bought brand new. I'm gonna go for dji action 3 because of the reliability.

When you were indoors I was thinking your OA3 did look terrible, but outside it is super sharp. Good comparison you did here. I have OA1, OA3, Pocket 2 and Gopro 10, and I actually think about selling mine Gopro because it just randomly freeze up or just stop recording because it's too cold in Norwegian summer. Just waiting for my OA3 to return and hope I get a new one that is actually in focus, but also thinking about buying Insta360 ONE RS since they are really sharp.

My GoPro 9 has sadly, for some reason died today and I was instantly looking to replace it with a different “competitor” so I looked at the Osmo 3. Your video has shown me that the Gopro 9 is better in every way. So what do I do now? We are on Gopro 11 now (March 2023). And nice dog by the way

I've seen videos explaining that DJI Osmo Action 3 soft Focus problem has been fixed by firmware or post release versions of the camera.

Either way I wouldn't mind the soft look on DJI Osmo Action 3 for a blog, you see less Imperfections in face because the soft focus unlike the GoPros sharp image that will pickup every pore,mark or blemish.

Using action 3 now for the quick release as I ride and do delivery The quick mount allows me to quickly change from helmet to tripod to chest mount

I’ve been using my phone but now I’m looking for a camera that’s easy to mount in my car and easy to walk around with. I think I’ll go with the go pro. Quality looks good and it’s cheaper than the DJI right now. Thank you for this video!! Super helpful

I like Gp 9’s sharper color. However, with a lot if negative feedbacks that i’ve been reading. Plus the Adventure bundle that Dji’s offering, wow, it’s hard to say NO to it.

Wow. The Osmo Action 3 is just not sharp at all. It looks fuzzy the whole time you're using it. I know you have problems with the Hero 9 but why trade down with an out of focus camera? I can't believe GoPro can't get their act together and fix the problems they have. Sad.

Great video and comparisons! The image and audio quality of DJI A3 is superior to the Hero9. The audio, by far, is more crisp and clear with more treble, which lacks in the GP lineup.

Now that's Quality Which is not available on any Other OA3 I've seen Your the luckiest DJI Osmo Action 3 Buyer lol Nearly every person is complaining about Focus and Soft Look. So am Holding back from buying OA3 at the moment until DJI confirm the problem because they've accepted the problem in some OA3. And Work on Improving by update but its Hardware issue as per findings by some Camera tech guy

actually as i viewed a side by side comparison in a 32inch monitor in 1080p reso, the gopro9 is way sharper. i can literally see his pores and the hair of his beard. but with the OA3, it is smooth even his beard is not clear.
