So happy GoPro finally got LOG. I literally just placed my order and can't wait! HDR I will probably use as well but it was LOG that got me. Hero 7 Black is still working almost perfectly though. Maybe you should start marketing the longevity of the cameras.

The internal HDR mode is absolutely unusable for me, as it's not really HDR! On my channel you can watch real GoPro HDR videos! GoPro log is nice, but with GoPro Labs I can also set a very flat image profile! Only if you do not own a GoPro, then you can consider buying the GoPro 12. I actually expected a larger sensor or higher resolution!

@@davidsilberhorn I am upgrading from the Hero 7. I would not upgrade from the 11 but even the accumulated features of the past 5 years make it worth it, plus the 12 is cheaper right now for me.

Yeah its amazing that its 10bit and has the gp-log now, but the HDR is very useless. Its just some dual exposure crap, not real, true HDR like rec2020 color space etc. Hope gopro 13 will come with true hdr instead of this marketing shit

It's more like how HDR works in photography mixing a high and low exposure together, rather than the HDR like dolby vision. Basically gives you more dynamic range.

@@FlareOutMedia yes, but if you wanna show it upload the footage being HDR my phone is HDR actually has an XDR display so they should've uploaded it with the proper dynamic range which KZbin supports. It would be nice to actually see it because then it's just fake high dynamic range. I don't see the bright levels of light next to pure black that's what I mean. I know what HDR is but it's not just saturation that's just a fake HDR like it's like a simulation of what HDR looks like which isn't HDR like I will witness it because my screen brightness full completely different to how the video is, as I'm sure you must know how HDR looks but if the video is claiming to show a difference between both at least upload it in the quality where I can see that difference it's almost someone giving me an ad of our TV being super good and just taking a photo of it is like I cannot tell the picture quality through a monitor thanks though for trying at this point just tell me it's HDR you don't need to try to show visual interpretation if you are not able to upload it in HDR so I can see the content actually having a difference compared to the other one it would the accurate as I can see the HDR and how good it is instead, all I see is extreme saturation, which bravo anyone could do that I can take a photo and make it super saturated. It doesn't make it HDR.

There is two different hdr btw..They said that becauae true hdr is on 10bit but on this gopro they use stack sensor. Like two video combine into one so the dynamic ranges is good. They called this hdr.. Sorry my english bad

Because real hdr is a hdr10 video file that can be watched with hdr tvs. Hdr on go pro is just a mode that adds more dynamic range, mainly reducing overexposure.

@BoxerTintas it depends on the user. But someone who was using it in the past to create content with map and speed overlay it was easier to do it. Now this is still possible but you need more time to do this and more gear f.e. phone which will be regording gpx file
