Respect the fact you dropped him to a 3 star after kentucky. Just what he needed to regain any confidence that got dented out there. Is nice to have a rider more concerned about the horses than their own pride.. i've known a few that once their horse runs a certain level, they won't drop lower no matter what. Fab run!

What's the difference between long and short and why is there a choice
@bevakathedementedraccoon2 жыл бұрын
@@MLOCharmer the difference is the distance they have to run, and therefore how long it takes them to get round the course. the choice is there as each rider will have a schedule of events they're taking the horse to, and train them accordingly. so the peak fitness guys will more likely run the long courses. judging from the vids Elisa tends to run mostly short course with 2-3 long courses per season.
@crazy1coral2 жыл бұрын
@@MLOCharmer timing & fences round the XC. Short is less fences and time then long is more fences and longer time. They have to qualify in order to do long format, so they need to get so many 2*s/novices to do 3*/intermediates and so on for 4*-5*

Great job to you both! He was ready forthe 5* but losing his shoes really dented his confidence! Dropping him down to an easier level you know he can do is definately the right choice!

A mazing. As nice of a run as I have ever seen. Absolutely flew that course. What a good boy. Guess he likes his new shoes! Seriously I think that is the fastest I have ever seen him go. Up that last hill he was incredibly fast! Wonderful.

He sure regained his confidence. Glad you dropped him down. How does his front feet look? He was very smooth and you caught all of the jumps very well. I was laughing when you went to the left of the water he was eyeballing that water. What a horse. You are a great rider and person as well.

Woohoo! Go Leroy! He smoked that course. Those bridges look scary watching on the GoPro. They'd scare the heck out of me riding across them on a horse. I'd feel as though I'm too high above the railing. Eek! Good job!

i do not get it. Why are you out of breath ? The horse was the one running and jumping .
@vancesummers4222 жыл бұрын
*sigh* You don't just sit there when you ride a horse. You use your arm muscles, leg muscles, abs in order to stay balanced....etc. The rider has to stay balanced and often has to help the horse stay balanced as well, usually just by the way they move their body. Watch videos of competitions, especially jumping, and look at how the riders move on the horse. Riders do a lot of work. There is a reason it is considered a sport - riding, especially at this level, is very physically taxing on the rider and the horse. You both have to be physically fit.
@meganproffitt4242 жыл бұрын
I do not get it. Why are you acting like you know more about riding horses than you really do? You've never sat on a horse in your life and you're sitting behind a keyboard.
