🤣 "im sorry i didnt mean to make the smooch sound" Me forgetting our polo ponies are trained to leap forward/go into a gallop when the reins are more than halfway up their neck showjumping is fun with a short necked polo pony, he could get a long spot like a champ if i practically threw my reins up his neck (I also was always scaring my instructor cause i would neckrein over jumps when i got nervous, like half a stride out id drop my hand to my thigh)

I remember showing hunters there maybe 15+yrs ago and trail riding the hills around that arena at the end. I remember seeing the permanent XC fences on those steep hills and being so petrified of jumping them. Haha

Some of them might have been for a different level or option jumps (riders can often take long or short routes with certain questions).

It’s hard to tell on camera, but it appears the jumps are numbered. That probably helps with the course

There's a course map for the riders, then they walk the course to see the strides, what each of their horses need, the footing etc. For the bigger events they sometimes have a photo of each fence on their website with the course map. What always surprises me is when Elisa is riding 3 different courses/levels and doesn't mix them up lol
