Jake, I will be using my GoPro Max for a survey of land within a cloud forest. It is hilly terrain about 30 degrees. I was planning on using an after-market tripod mount with my carbon fiber monopod. The amount of terrain I need to survey will take several hours. I heard your comment about the short 2' clips. Does it make sense to use the voice commend and have the camera high above my head (~1.5m) on the monopod? This is my first GoPro.

hey riley, there could be a number of issues when it comes to cycling footage, especially if you're riding in forests, essentially the gopro (or any action camera) doesn't do a good job of capturing environments that have a lot of moving parts like leafy forests, check out this video with the action 4 where i'm cycling in a forest, you may notice the same problems: kzbin.info/www/bejne/r4vOc4aPd8qCb7s (watch from 2:41)

I don’t know if you have one already or not, but I would like to see a tutorial video how to put a full 360° video on KZbin so I can watch it on my oculus and show everyone my awesome time I had snowbiking, or snowboarding or whatever and people can see the whole thing and look at any direction they want. I think it would be fun also for taking it to an amusement park or something and show them. I don’t know if there would be any laws in an amusement park for not doing that, but even just showing my family and just knowing how to view it on the oculus somewhere else would be just as awesome to me. I’d like to get to where I’m getting subscribers to a KZbin channel, but for now, I don’t even care about that as much as just want to watch it myself with my family and friends.

first, off ty this is really helpful really covered some things I had questions about, but I'm coming up with an issue. When I upload it to my cell, for whatever reason my 360 videos won't play back. It shows me the sample image, but when I go to play it it's all black. Any ideas?

make sure you're in the Quik app by GoPro and you've edited your 360 video in the app first

@@guyseide to edit any 360 clip caputred with the max it has to be done in the Quik app. If the clip is black then it hasn't been captured properly or have a problem with your camera and I recommned sending it back to gopro to be replaced. All the best bru

You just need the the 3mm adapter - it screws in to the selfie stick and has the two prongs at the top to connect to the gopro

in 5.2K at any frame rate you will notice them less, I believe that these stitch lines are more prominent as i've been using a BETA version of the new GoPro max Firmware (shooting in 3K 60FPS) which will hopefully be ironed out when they release it to the public
