There are people who honestly think Gordon is gonna come and confirm there is nothing wrong with the place and that the food is excellent, and assume his very attendance will be some kind of endorsement. Whilst the guy was almost certainly trying to cover his arse, it wouldn't surprise me if there's an element of truth to what he says. Most of his customers are probably retirement age British expats who have grown up eating bland, overcooked shite. Being British myself, I can confidently say that the overwhelming majority of Brits over the age of 40 or so don't have a fucking clue what good food should taste like. Younger generations are better though - more of them appreciate actual flavour and food that is cooked properly rather than incinerated.

After all, he is a wildly successful chef in possession of Michelin stars and restaurants all over the world... then there's the media empire he's been building along the way. Ok I have been a huge hugeee fan of Ramsay since forever. And i admire him even more after kitchen nightmares and hotel hell. He has dealt with some absolutely crazy egotistical people in those shows. I feel most people who judge him for being so hot tempered wouldn't ever be able to deal with some of the arrogant people he has dealt with. The only reason he gets angry is when people try to fool him with sub par food saying it's exquisite.

Gald you notice. I like Ramsey's shows. It's such a shame FOX picked up Nightmares. It's abysmal editing wise. Like it's made for 10-year-olds. Fast, quick cuts, loud, fake sounds, overly dramatic music, etc. Some episodes I've seen are borderline seizure-inducing. I'm a Brit though. Maybe Americans are used to being treated like fuckwits and wouldn't know any better?
