others have clearified this already but people have missed that so i will aswell. Blue plasters are only for the back of house (For example Cooks) and NOT the waiters. The waiters are to use plasters that fits with the dresscode. In this case a white or a beige one. The people handling the food directly have blue ones to see if it has come off while handling the food hence contaminating the food. Waiters are NEVER to directly touch the food itself only the edge of the plate wich is why they are excempt. Blue is ONLY when handling the food DIRECTLY.
@celticguy1975319 жыл бұрын

I'm guessing it's a little different in that area. In my area though, the standard IS to wear a blue bandaid as opposed to a white bandaid (for both chefs and waiters) as it's easier to see should it ever fall off into food, or onto a prepping area, and so it's easily identifiable as having come from a staff member considering no one else really wears blue ones.

I played the game once, geez you seriously think that working at a pub is the same as working at a michelin star restaurant? you know, food can only go so far, so the reason these places have michelin stars is because of the presentation of the food, which includes the waiters, the establishment itself, the cutlery, and any other aspect that would make the experience a more enjoyable one. one waiter with a blue plaster is a potential bad mark on the overall presentation of the food, and I doubt any owner of a michelin star establishment would just overlook even the slightest error.

Therefore if they see the bright blue plaster on the waiter's hand, it'll look terrible for the restaurant's reputation. A white plaster wouldn't be as noticeable as a blue one.

This was overkill and incredibly dehumanizing.... when the only one offended by a blue bandaid is the overbearing asshole pushing the food through the service window, I'd say, someone needs to check themselves... and in this case, it's certainly not the server.

Gordon Ramsay:"and a fucking blue plaster. SHIT" Hahahahah man is mental
@inscrutablemungus414311 ай бұрын
Yeah, not a good look Gordon. You can always judge the character of a man by the way he treats his subordinates. Especially in front of a TV camera. Literally all the poor guy did was get a blue band-aid. And apparently that was enough for Gordon to stop concentrating on the service just to chew the man out for 10 minutes. I honestly don't buy the 'competitive industry' excuse. Grow up, a lot of people work in competitive professions without needing to yell at their subordinates for a minor issue. Nobody's dying. It's just food, chill out. If Michelin cares about something this minor, screw them.

Why does it matter what colour plaster you wear? The colour shouldn't matter as long as it's doing it's job. This is going too far even for gordons standards

In the kitchen it's used for spotting bandaids in food. In the Dining room I believe it was just too flashy and could put people off eating if that's the first thing they saw.
