Later in the show, he counted that he earned ~450 euros that day. At 6 euros per bowl, that's 75 bowls of soup. Assuming he started service at noon, he did this in 140 minutes, or 1 bowl every ~2 minutes. Pretty quick for one man!

Yeah. I read that apparently, the restaurant closed down before this aired. The father and the chef that Gordon recruited for Rachel tried to run it, but to no avail, and the father was left with the debt. I remember how bad I felt for the father. He gave her what she wanted, but she just threw it away by giving up.
