omitting butter and cream because it's healthy and mentioning that rice is fat free, like these guys couldn't (and wouldn't) devour two pizzas if given the chance without it affecting their performance 😂great clip though!
@m.d.f37975 ай бұрын
If you actually have any proper understanding of what the body needs for the work that they are doing, butter or any kind of fat is actually a good thing. Fat is full of calories. So you don't need to eat a lot of it to get calories in. These guys are for sure burning more than double the calories of the average person. I am guessing at least triple the calories. If he is going to feed them these low fat diet, there is no problem with it. But he is going to be busy cooking all the time. Why? Because these guys will burn through these meals in just a few hours. They will have to waste more time because they will need to stop to eat more. Probably at least 5 meals a day with this kind of diet, and if you are a soldier, you don't really have the luxury of time. There is always something that you have to do throughout the day. So they are doing 5 meals a day, many will have to skip some meals because they don't have the time for it and that is not good for their body. It's like bodybuilding. The more muscle you build or plan to build, the more calorie you will need to take in a day. If not, you will get muscle wasting.

@@m.d.f3797 That would be fine for breakfast or dinner. But during lunch, at the height of training activity. Especially on what is likely a warm sunny day. An excess amount of fatty dairy products in the food can cause stomach problems when a certain amount of exertion is reached.

How does this help in a war zone?? There's no fresh meat, you have to eat the crappy MRE ( field rations). Gordon, you need to help by getting the manufacturer of these to actually have something good to put in these rations to begin with.

Have you ever been in the military because I don't think you know what you are talking about
@arnoldhenry5 ай бұрын
I hate to tell you, but the troops do get fresh food, usually at the home base, far from the front lines. They eat the MREs while on patrol. I don't how the British do their field rations testing, but the United States Department of Defense has a food lab, where they test which foods are good for MREs. The ingredients must be stable enough to be processed and must be nutritious and tasteful. The final product must also last for a long time in all types of weather and conditions. Both the British and American militaries want to make that the MREs are nutritious, stable, and, most importantly, taste good. They have come a long way from the field rations they had in WWII and Vietnam.
