I absolutely admire Westerners like Gordon Ramsay. When he’s on his home turf, he goes a little crazy sometimes since that’s his MO once in awhile. But when he steps onto somebody else’s home turf, he’s very respectful and shows a genuine interest in their culture. There are some Westerners that do the opposite. They ingratiate their own and show outward contempt for other cultures.

To be fair, the shitty restaurants are on shows like Kitchen Nightmares for a reason. There are countless highly regarded restaurants in the US. Also, if he was served their food in a restaurant setting, I'm sure he wouldn't be so polite as he is here. He wouldn't say "You guys have strong stomachs". He would say "That's fucking disgusting.
