Jeez, thank you......., I have been arguing your same recommendation like forever.....seasoning first, THEN a dose of oil just before cooking. Too many recipes say "oil first then salt the meat"......and that is logically wrong. Why ?... because oil and salt do not mix, If you oil the meat first.....you are creating a barrier for the salt or other seasoning for proper meat penetration.
