The vision of God as creator, highlighted in chapter 4 of Revelation, is completed by a vision of God as the re-creator, the central image of chapter 5, as all the universe joins in a celebration of the lion/lamb of redemption.

I finished watching this tonight with my husband and 3 teen aged kids and I can't sleep. My heart and mind are so full of worship and praise of King Jesus who is worthy; overwhelmed that I get to join with the multitudes in the worship of this great God, now and in eternity! May He ever be increasingly glorified in heaven and on earth! Thank you brother Bruce!

Thanks Pastor Bruce Gore. I have been a partial preterist for many years now, but even if I wasn’t, your teaching of this chapter showing its God honoring and exultation of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ was mind blowing and humbling in reverence for our great God, as revealed to the Apostle John.

James, I'd like to suggest to you that there is only one kind of Preterism and that is Full Preterism. The very idea of partial preterism is a contradiction in terms; you may as well say you're a partial futurist since that is really what it is. You're a futurist not a preterist apparently. The evidence for Preterism is overwhelming which is why I don't understand why people who claim to be partial preterists cant just go all the way. They seem to prefer to insist without just cause that there is yet more to come and refuse to believe the plain statements of Jesus concerning the fulfillment of prophecy being entirely completed within that very generation he spoke to then in the first century. Matt 24:34 and Matt 16:28. Did Jesus get it wrong then? I think not and the Bible interprets itself by His words.

Mr Gore, thank you so much for these lessons. I was raised Southern Baptist with an strong view of the left behind series style rapture and such. I was introduced to the preterist view not long ago and have been hungrily ingesting all I can find. Finding a verse by verse walkthrough of Revelation has been almost impossible until you. It truly is a blessing. Since we are on chapter 5, and patience is a virtue the Lord is still perfecting in me, I will ask a question. Is the view you are/will be teaching a "full preterist" view, or is there still some of Revelation to be fulfilled? Such as gog and ma-gog. Thank you if you have time to answer this. If not, I understand and look forward to hearing the answer when we get there.

Here's some more good Preterism keys for you Daniel: Rev. 1:7 John states that those who crucified Jesus would witness his return and judgement. Rev. 11:8 John writes that the "great city" ie, Babylon, is spiritually also identified as "sodom and egypt" and that it is the city where Jesus was crucified; that is Jerusalem. Jesus also stated that the disciples wouldn't even finish preaching into all of israel before His return! Matt. 10:23. I highly recommend you read the book "who is this Babylon?" by Don K. Preston which is a powerful crash course in Preterism.

@@brucegore4373 I've always appreciated your videos which are full of great info and am really enjoying your series on Revelation. However, I just don't understand how despite being so familiar with Preterism you can still insist there is some yet future fulfillment of prophecy? How is it that there is still yet a future return of Jesus? isn't all fulfilled? Jesus Himself stated all would be fulfilled in that very generation he then spoke to. Matt.24:34 and Matt. 16:28. Jesus also stated that the gospel wouldn't be finished being preached throughout all Israel even before His Return. Matt. 10:23. We also read that the gospel would be preached into "all the world", and then the "end" would come Matt 24:14. This preaching of the gospel to all the "world" was said by Paul to have been accomplished! Romans 10:18 and Colossians 1:6. Given all this and more how can it be that all was not fulfilled in the first century as scripture records and predicts? Even John wrote that those who crucified Jesus would witness His return and judgement and that Jerusalem was Babylon the great Rev.1:7 and Rev.11:8. Wasn't 70AD the culmination of all prophecy when God returned to judge the persecutors of Him and his Church when He destroyed Jerusalem and and the Old Covenant temple? 1 Corinthians 15 explicitly defines the resurrection as being spiritual in nature and not of this world so why expect a future physical resurrection? How can anyone be in Heaven as you've claimed if the resurrection and judgment hasn't happened yet? Can you cite scripture indicating a yet future return of Jesus given His emphatic time statements that all would be fulfilled in the first century generation he preached to including His return? All the New Testament writers emphatically teach that the "end" was very very near. Did they and Jesus simply get it wrong? I think not. Who is to be trusted more "classical confessions" and "creeds" of uninspired writers or the writings of Paul and the words of Jesus? You cite "orthodoxy" yet many famous orthodox Christians going back to William Tyndale didn't believe in a "rapture" like the modern day futurists preach and most of the futurist doctrines seem to be inventions of the past century only. You don't have to answer me Bruce, I just hope you'll consider my words with prayer and reconsider Preterism as being the true understanding of Eschatology. I'm glad that it seems you've chosen to teach on Revelation more objectively rather than taking a hard stance in your lectures and trying to refute one or other. I know you've stated you believe in the Early dating of Revelation pre 70ad which is correct. You make a pretty good case for Preterism without apparently being one yourself.

@@sennacheribsprism9975 why do you say Mr Gore isn't a preterist? It seems to me he is saying that all has been fulfilled except Satan being released from his 1000 year bonds and the final judgement of the living in the dead. How could a 1000 year binding of Satan be done in 40 years (30-70 ad). I'm only deducing Mr Gores position, but it does seem his view would allow Jesus' prediction in the Olivet Discourse to be completely fulfilled and have the New Jerusalem coming physically after judgement lining up scripturally. I believe it's called amillennialism. I certainly don't want to argue with a brother/sister in Christ or sow any discord, your comment only came off a little aggressive. I love you brother/sister. Also, I will be looking into your suggestion of Mr Preston, thank you. I want as much info as I can get and hold it all up to the Word of God and let Him lead me. God bless.

@@danielwolfe7682 My comment to Bruce is a questioning of what he espouses and as a Christian he should have no problem with answering such things dutifully for all to consider. We would be nowhere without such discussions and there's nothing wrong with asking pointed questions to not waste time. You may as well criticize Jesus for his assertiveness. My intent is pure and Bruce may believe whatever he pleases of course. The implications of prophecy are dire and have important real world consequences like the fact that the United States supports Israel and its genocide in the middle east all because of false interpretations of prophecy. That is some of why I preach Preterism to give people peace in the truth and to help end useless wars based upon lies. Preterism is growing rapidly due to the internet and the fact that the corrupt churches cannot suppress such things anymore. Understand friend that WE are israel now not so called jews and WE are a spiritual priesthood, and WE are stones in that new living temple not some future stone temple as the futurists predict. All that is plainly stated in the New Testament. YHWH divorced and destroyed old covenant Israel. If you think the organized church cant be so heinously wrong about doctrine you're mistaken; just look at Martin Luther and how he pointed out how they'd been wrong for about 1500 years! I'm a Preterist. Bruce Gore is not by his own admission. Many people will acknowledge the many evidences of Preterism as Gore does but they cling to some still yet future fulfillment of prophecy in contradiction to the scriptures. In this comment thread Gore plainly stated that he believes there is a yet future return of jesus and resurrection of the dead which means he does not believe that all prophecy is fulfilled in the 1st century and thus he is not a Preterist. Preterism holds that ALL is fulfilled and no less. There is only one kind of Preterism and that is Full Preterism; so called "partial preterism" is a contradiction in terms and in actuality is a futurist eschatology. You it seems are still too caught up in a literalist perspective of all scriptures and must realize that the Hebrews often used metaphor and hyperbolic language to describe grand events. Futurists often point to stuff like the 1000 years or the moon turning to blood and stars crashing to earth as proof all is not fulfilled but scripture contradicts that perspective and reinforces the Hebraic Metaphoric interpretation of such things as colorful language not literalness. Proof its often metaphor lies in the Old Testament wherein prophecies are fulfilled yet they used such language as the world seeming to end yet it didnt' and even futurists admit such prophesies are fulfilled. Just look at Isaiah 13:10 using such world ending language yet the prophecy is fulfilled. Jesus Himself said ALL would be fulfilled in that generation He spoke to! Why not believe Him and interpret scriptures based upon His word? Funny you mention Amilllennialism because Don K. Preston used to be one himself and renounced it for Preterism. I cited several examples of Jesus himself giving time statements for the total fulfillment of prophecy including His return and the resurrection. Research all the verses I cited and see yourself. Futurists apparently think Jesus is wrong and didn't know what he spoke of. You will find that historically the modern futurist views of prophecy didn't exist not too long ago and have been recently invented by occultists, jews, and zionists with hidden agendas and many modern churches are in the hands of such parties warping bible teachings to suit their political goals. The Olivet Discourse cannot be divided and there is no reason whatsoever to insert any time period, much less thousands of years, between the fulfillment of all things which Jesus clearly stated would be fulfilled entirely in the 1st century. The Bible interprets itself if you'll let it; listen to Jesus and the words of is apostles not uninspired people. Prove all things and hold fast to that which is good.

Brother Bruce, I've really have been enjoying and have appreciated your previous videos, however, I'm quite confused when you said in your introduction which I find in [01:17] and I quote: “Chapter 5 is really the story of the recreation Redemption so…” while in [01:25] you say “while chapter 4 focuses on God as creator chapter 5 shifts our concern to God as Redeemer…” which i find very slant. My question, if I may respectfully ask is: In what verse both chapters 4 and 5 is there explicitly a “recreation” happening? Unlike in the creation story of Genesis 1, God does precisely that? You seem to be making up some kind of assumptions that isn't remotely described in both chapters. I've tried to ignore this statement you said in the preceding video as you barely even explained yourself over there (chapter 4 video), however repeating such a point really bothers me. John appears to already have his readers assume that the scene beyond the door was already as it is as he already has created it.

Chapter 4 ends with an affirmation and celebration of God as creator. The focus in chapter five is on the lamb, who is the redeemer. Redemption is connected with re-creation. If any man is in Christ (the lamb), he is a new creation.

Humbly seeking for truth, Jr 29:13 - Why are the seven thunder's of chapter 10 unrevealed, or better yet, why are they mentioned but not revealed? How did a letter written in +/- 65 a.d., before the destruction of the holy city serve as a last warning to those who where believers in Christ, when it includes some stated visions (i.e. the thunders) but leaves to a plethora of diverse interpretations. Is it possible that the unsealing of the scroll was(is) a retrospect unsealing of Daniel's sealed scroll, leading to other interpretations, for example, first seal would be the Babylonian conquest, the second seal, the medo-persian conquest, the third seal, the greek conquest, the forth seal, the roman conquest, the fith seal, the freeing of those imprisoned by death, as reveal in Dn 12:2 and Mt 27: 52-53 and their reception in heaven, the sixth seal, the siege of Jerusalem and the seventh seal, the destruction of the city. Thanks and God bless you and keep you.
