Amy Lee with that great voice. Such a relevant subject, it hit close to home with her sister. Everybody's Fool" is about people who are fake and superficial, people that pretend to be what they are not just to be accepted and loved in society. Amy Lee wrote it when her sister started turning into one of these people. She was trying to say you should always be yourself for you, and no one else. It doesn't matter what other people say as long as you're happy with who you are, and you aren't pretending.

The message in this song is SO POWERFUL, especially in today's society, where likes and clicks matter most to so many, especially our youth. Adults are better because we've lived without it, the kids never have. Also, the whole "Fallen" album is great.

"Without the mask where will you hide? 'Can't find yourself lost in your lie". Amy was sick of the industry. People were pushing on all sides, " Lose weight, be sexy, You can't wear that, You can't date him, You can't sell albums unless you show some skin". Amy just wanted to sing her songs and be Amy. She saw what the industry did to other singers, bands and actresses and she said, "no not me!".

But she did sell sex in a softer way. Show a video she's done where she didn't look crazy hot? Amy said she didn't want to sell sex. But everything she did was sexy even when she wasn't trying to be. She a very pretty lady with a lot better shape than you think she has. She never showed much skin. But she did use the sexy she has to sell it. When you have that face and shape it's hard to not look sexy.

That pairing of the heavy, almost demonic music with all its distortion, and Amy's clear, angelic voice soaring over the top...lyrically, she always comes across like a angel who's not quite fallen, but is on the way to it.

@@SilentBob731 It's a "feel" thing. To me, it's heavily distorted, sometimes dissonant...similar to how it's portrayed in "Devil Went Down To Georgia" or "Tribute." But that's just me - it's just the best way I can describe how it _feels_ to me. You can use your own description depending on what emotion it evokes in you. I'm definitely _not_ attempting to use a strict musical definition here. 😊

It's that 'pleading' tone singers, and preachers btw, have been using in America since the 50s. Elvis had it, James Brown had it, and Amy SWIMS in it. The juxtaposition of her angel sweet voice with hard crunchy guitars is...heavenly.

They are the group that got me into different types of metal, besides heavy/death metal as teen. Back in their height of music. Yeah, part of it cause she’s insanely hot, the rest. Pure talent. So because of them. Branched out, and found lacuna coil, Nightwish, many other smaller bands that are similar, after that, the one with Simone simons, can’t remember their name for some reason now, and many others.

This is one of my favorite of their music videos, this and "Good Enough". Her vocals are incredible, classically trained. You'll find quite a bit of singers in Metal bands are classically trained. It's what helps them to do what they do and keep their vocal tracks healthy. I'd definitely suggest more Evanescence and Lacuna Coil. Cristina Scabbia's vocals are incredible as well. Also The Hu, particularly "Song Of Women" with Lzzy Hale from Halestorm. It's a beautiful song with the band celebrating their moms and since Lex is a mom now, it's pretty apropos. 😎👍

Loved the band when it came out in the early oughts. Great band. Great sound. Amy and the band at the time were based in Little Rock Arkansas. Great truth. Putting your trust in people to save you is a bad idea. They are human too. Put your trust into the good ideas. Then it does not matter if the person telling you it has feet of clay. The message is the same wether from a prisoner or a priest. True values will steer you right. The public persona can lead you astray. Andrew Tate a great example. Pimping out girls online to lonely men and making.a fortune doing it. Pumping that money into scams, shady online transactions. Not actually trafficking but still using people and immorral. Bbbbut he looks good, he is not afraid to speak up. He pushes the high testosterone life. Yeah so does the psychopath. But they have no interest in helping you. You are a means to an end. Not a person in your own right. Fall into their orbit and tragedy may ensue.
