The HD (heavy duty) denotes a heavier gauge metal, and the S series is for Schilke's more all-around instruments, and the S32 has the most straight-ahead design in the S series. The S series horns tend to blend really well with a section of Bach trumpets due to similarities in the sound profile.

As you can hear this horn is really versatile, making it a great daily driver. It has great responsiveness, precision, and crispness, even at extremely low dynamics. With a commercial mouthpiece it brightens up nicely in the upper register and has that clean sound you'd expect from a Schilke.

Oddly enough I decided to go with the Sonic. It plays alot like a Yamaha Xeno. Maybe a little better. I tried just about everything before deciding to go with an Adams Sonic. It was between the Sonic, A2 and A3. I chose the Sonic after listening to Trent playing it. It is very versatile and blends well with Bach and Yamahas in an orchestra.

I got a question about the s32hd and the s22HD. What's the differences between them aside from the bore sizes? I know there's 2 different bell tapers. Is the 2 Bell widen up the sound? Is the 3 taper more directional?
