Shabani's son, Kiyomasa, spends more time alone than before.
After breakfast, Shabani came to pick up Kiyomasa, who was relaxing alone away from his family.
Later, Shabani slept with him and would mess around with him and groom him.
Shabani was very dependable as a leader as he tried to actively communicate with his teenage son.

Nene was born wild in Cameroon.
The other three were born in the Higashiyama Zoo in Japan.

Poor elderly Nene trying to find some comfort on the rubber tyre, I was worried that the boys would pull the hoses that are attached to the tyre, Nene would have flown through the air, maybe ending up among the visitors or worse landing in the chimp enclosure.

Yes, Nene is a spunky ole gal and she doesn’t put up with much! If one of her troop ticks her off she’ll go to hollering and chasing! It’s awesome!

I was there days 14 and 15 . Sorry that I didn’t see you but I am planning to go next year. I was wondering if I sent Shabani and troop shirts Could you sell like the guy from Momotoro group does? It would help the zoo and Shabani.

Shabani and Kiyo are best friends but someday Kiyo won't be there anymore. That's all part of a young males' gorilla life in a zoo, but it will be a sad day for both of them when it happens. Most of the time they are besties.

Shabani's family really won the lottery with having Shabani as their father and husband. And considering how mean Hakao can be, it is interesting that they are both full brothers. But someone posted that Kibabu, their dad, could be mean too. Shabani took after his mother, I guess. Because he really is special. ❤️
