Gorilla⭐️Genki got angry and threw poop at Momotaro.【Momotaro family】

This video was taken on August 28, 2022.
Momotaro eating barley in a fire hose.
Genki wants the hose, but Momotarou won't let it go.
So Genki got angry and threw poo at Momotaro.
After that, Gentaro and Kintaro looked at Momotaro enviously.
And Kintaro tried to take the fire hose beside Momotaro but failed.
By the way, Genki, Gentaro, and Kintaro all have fire hoses filled with barley.

⭐️モモタロウ Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

I’m convinced They don’t even like each other. Mo just puts up with Genki because it’s his only option. You rarely see them together yet you look at other troops and the females groom and lay around with their silverback all the time. He’s a big handsome man silverback and in my opinion It’s a shame he doesn’t have access to other females where he can build a big flourishing troop. He’s stuck with Genki just because she can’t get along with others, all she cares about is eating and what ever baby she has at the moment. He just looks so miserably bored and depressed laying around on the dirt and concrete with minimal enrichment. No grass, or open sky overhead.

Genki love putting her poo poo on them. I seen one video when she was carrying Kintaro and put him down and started to poo poo. She grabbed it and walked towards Kintaro and place it gently on his shoulder. Like she was saying “here baby hold this shit for your mama”.. I'll have to be honest. I've never seen a female gorilla throw poo at a male gorilla. Momo was so focused on what he was doing her barely saw that missile. Genki realising that she's pushing her luck briskly and quietly moves away envious that he's still savouring his barley. This reminds me of children - everyone eats out all their snacks except for one who decides to hold onto it for later and when they choose to enjoy theirs later on all the other children are around them begging for some.

I know Genki is a wonderful mother in many ways, but I do believe that she has some emotional issues that are revealed at times by odd behavior, especially poop throwing. She's thrown her poop in the past at her beloved Kintaro, and now at Momo. Kintaro looked perplexed when she did it--- and now, Momo does, too. Possibly, the small spaces and limited gorilla population exacerbate her erratic behavior.

Genki needs another baby. She loves being a mother. For her age, I think she is still holding her own. I wonder if the fact she is still lactating affects her estrus cycle? I know there are several years between K and G so Im not giving up hope but I know she is getting older so.. hopefully soon.

I will always remember a trip to the San Diego Zoo when I was about 10 years old. A huge gorilla like momotaro that was at least 200 ft away stared at me for a little bit and then picked up a load of poop and threw it so hard I still remember it hitting my chest with a thud!🥵🤣
