Good job Papa! That huge hand, so gentle... Gentaro seems kinda lost. He still wants to be noticed too. I have loved following the journey of this special family troop! I am confused by this family's habitat(s). Most of the time they seem to be in s barren place with no vegetation. Sometimes they are in a lush location, plenty of tasty leaves. We see them in a place that has cage-like walls that the toddler likes to climb. Are they in s very large enclosure, containing varied environments? Sometimes, although I recognize the family members, I do not recognize where they are. Whatever. They are always fascinating. I just saw the father take a cloth and spread it neatly on the ground and then sat on it. Just like you and I would. Amazing. Fascinating.

I love how Mama pretends not to be worried about Kintaro and his dad's interaction. She's eating but watchful then finally big brother, Gentaro shows up and dad knows it's time to leave baby brother alone. Mama is relieved. Hahaha!

Kintaro's balance is really improving while beating his chest. He is a very confident boy. Momotaro is pretty gentle while playing with Kintaro. Seeing Kintaro giggle while playing with daddy is a real treat. Genki is slowly letting her guard down with Kintaro.

The way dad handles him doesn’t hurt kinny. Remember gorillas are built a lot stronger than humans and can take a lot more than we can. He likes being close to his dad. Momotaro isn’t use to it cause he never met his dad or grew up with siblings. He’ll learn. It’s a learning experience for both kinny and momotaro.

Very true, Dad is doing his best to interact and learn his role. He didn't have a Dad to learn from and I think he is doing great for having no Dad. Kintaro is fascinated by Dad and wouldn't keep approaching him if he was scared. The Size of Momo would be intimating to any baby, so that may be the caution in Kintaro. As you wrote, they are so much stronger as babies as we are and can take a lot more physically then we can. Even when Kintaro would constantly fall, he would pop right back up and keep going even though some falls looked like they hurt badly. He is fine. Mom is always on alert and if she trusts Dad, thats good enough for me. ;-) Great things to come.

True... but... why forget how Momotaro played with Gentaro? It’s not like Kintaro is his first ever experience with his sons! 😐🤔 Yes, I know Gentaro was away for awhile BUT he was back with Mom and dad while still under two years old. Momo. didn't have Dad to show him a lot of behaviors as far as when, how to interact with Babies, taking charge/boss of all. See how he kind of lets Genki make a lot of rules? @@gingerblu9671 , Glad to share the videos because I love seeing archive videos of this family. There are a bunch of Gentaro as a baby I found, he is so damn cute to me and has such a joyful heart. Maybe being hand reared a bit made him so adorable with humans? Not sure, but love how he loves others and playing. Yeah, about Momo., I didn't realize either how much the kids got from Silverbacks, but, see Shabani? He is a wonderful daddy and his Dad was a very attentive and affectionate Dad. Shabani and his brothers are excellent fathers now and I think that was from the guidance, affection and behaviors they saw watching their daddy as they grew. Notice how closely Kintaro watches and is fascinated by Momotaro, even Gentaro shows respect and adores attention from Dad. They are aware he is the leader and Boss ( even if Genki doesn't agree...LOL! ) His size, strength and just presence gives off his power and they crave to be close to Dad and mimic him as a hero figure. Just my humble opinion as a fan and viewer, but, the children always seem to seek out Dads approval, attention and affections, in every troop I watch. I just feel sad at times beautiful Momotaro didn't have that figure to nurture him and learn from. He is doing a good job and as you said, he knows interaction from Gentaro, but he was hand reared for almost a year and seemed bigger and stronger then Kintaro. Silverbacks do have to learn to tone down their strength with the babies ( as i have seen on documentaries ) because they are just so strong they don't realize how much. Sweet Momo. it seems, he is trying to figure out the right way to handle and touch Kintaro ( as compared to Gentaro ) and it is so sweet to watch him trying different ways to touch the baby. I think it will be great to see Gentaro groom Kintaro into "Jump, Hop Clap" dancing with his favorite Keeper and ambushing Dad from behind a bush to play! They are going to drive parents and keepers crazy soon with their shenanigans! LOL! Cant wait to see it all go down! Great things to come! ;-) Thanks again for kind reply! @@gingerblu9671 , I know. I tried to translate in settings, apparently English Translation only works with speech on video and not written words on the screen. I would LOVE to read in English to learn more about the history from a keeper in Zoo who knows such details. I think i did comment about that in videos but never heard back. There was this video with Momo., then one with Genki and Gentaro. Same thing, unable to translate. Sucks! If they ever get back to me, i will let you know! Also, had issues with WIFI the past few months and just saw your comment. Sorry for delay!!

Carrie, that's how gorillas check their health to see if they are ok. They lick their kids all over to groom them, also gorillas also eat their poop, and sniffs in the but is identifying their age, and status in the troop. Just like dogs do other dogs. Momo is the King of his family...🙋‍♀️🐶🇱🇷🎆🎆🎆Happy New Year!!!!

I disagree, looks to me he's being quite gentle for how big and powerful he is. He's clearly not hurting the baby. Baby obviously loves his Dad and vice versa. Also, it seems examining baby's underside is normal parenting behavior for a gorilla. I've seen many do the same.

Conscious Robot : I totally agree! When we began to compare these gorillas behavior to HUMAN behavior ( which is sometimes worse than any animal could ever do!) that is when we lose sight of reality! These are NOT humans... they do not have to Conform to what we feel is “ acceptable!” If you watch them with this belief system, you will need a lot of therapy! 🤨Watch them with the wonder and privilege of getting a look into their day to day life and appreciating them for what they are. My humble opinion... 🥰
