Gorilla⭐️In August, Kintaro lost his appetite and lost weight during the absence of Momotaro.

In August of this year, Momotaro had severe diarrhea and was treated in the room.
When Momotaro was absent, Gentaro and Kintaro seemed uneasy.

momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

This is proof that Gentaro is not ready to be moved. People who are upset about his behavior should learn more about Gorilla lifestyle. If he is not ready and Annie is not ready, he could hurt her or worse. He’s still too immature and dependent on his parents. Please be patient and kind. While his behavior towards Genki is upsetting, it’s perfectly normal. Momo understands this and won’t let Genki get hurt. He steps in when he sees that it’s too much plus mamma Genki can defend herself it’s just annoying but natural for Gentaro .. he’s still has a couple years before he’s a silverback. I noticed he’s teething. His teeth are going through changes just like the rest of his body. Thanks for the wonderful videos.

I remember watching them back then. It was very troubling to see Kintaro 💖so sad and not eating. Gentaro 💖too, but Momma Genki kept it together and stayed strong for the family. What a relief it was to see them all pull through and are healthy now. 🙏🌹🌻🌹🌻

Just like a human family. When one of the family members are ill the whole family is effected. It's the same with gorilla's. It was so sad to see the boys depressed like they were, even to the point of losing weight when Momo got sick. The sad thing is they didnt know what was happening. I remember crying & stressing alot watching all of their videos 😢 it hurt me so much to see momo, gentaro & kinny losing appetite. Kintaro was so weak hardly could ever move and at one point i just have to stop watching their clip because it affect me so much! Oh my God, this was the saddest thing, watching Kintaro so absolutely depressed... Poor sweet sweet boy... It's just totally devastating to watch... When he got up and he fell down again that was just unbelievable. Just devastating 😔 Big brother was down too.....but watching little brother like that was way too hard to see 😪

I'm continually amazed at how gorillas can sleep anywhere and on anything. Most of us have seen them sleeping on a single strip of firehose. I've also seen them sleep on bare concrete, and on bare metal beams. And several times now I've seen Momo sleeping on those boulders around the old pond area. I mean, who would think that when you're sick with diarrhea you'd get comfort lying on bare ground and with your head on a hard, bumpy boulder? I guess they had to adapt to sleeping on hard, skinny tree branches which also can't be too comfortable.
