Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)　
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO.
　　
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)　　　
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAC.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

I love this family so much and am very pleased to hear that their skin concerns are addressed in the winter as they're not living in the same climate that they would if in the wild. I pray that all four of them will have a safe, warm winter this year with good food to sustain them and veterinary staff to check on their health. 🙏💙❤️💙💙 xx

They are very well taken care of, having thorough routine health checks 👍. 1:33 Try "essential oils" which are all natural blending in with the shea butter. 2:42 Eh, mama 💝 Genki is a modest lady girl, and doesn't usually care for hands on much. She also doesn't bother with the burlap bags in the winter time. 7:57 Gentaro is smart, and waits to enter the room. 9:09 Big daddy 🦍 Momotaro is in silverback observation mode. 😂 9:56 And now, it's time to relax. 10:07 Gentaro: 🤨 I think they're discussing me 😆. Gentaro is 😍 beautiful to behold? 12:03 😭 I'm so proud. Both my babies are growing up to be handsome boys with 🎂 birthdays next month (Gentaro 12 years 😱 and Kintaro 5 years).

I love to watch the videos of Gorillas in the wild and their Fur looks Thicker then the Gorillas in Zoos. I love especially watching the Mountain Gorillas, They are VERY Thick coats of hair… And watching people going up into the mountains to watch them is Somewhat concerning because of Pocher’s !! They get accustomed to people and then the Pocher’s go up to HARM Them. So the Mountain Gorillas don’t know they are in Danger and don’t run away! Even though these Gorillas are in Zoos and Some in Sanctuary, They are Safe and MOST Are well cared for… They live Longer lives in most cases.. Genki would probably not be here today because of her tooth infection if in wild.. These Animals are so Beautiful, Thank you for your videos..

May have milk issues and a very curious brother raising havoc!😅She’s doing ok but she’s frail and has the big eyes like Kinny. Very pretty girl! I love them very very much, they are so very very special❣️🥇🎄🥁🦍🙏I use no fragrant organic coconut oil for very dry skin. Its safe to use on dogs and cats, prevents fleas as welll. Its greasy at first, but the skin will be softer and soothing. Olive oil is very good too. I have seen the caretaker put olive oil on Momotaro in one of the videos. His hands? Or feet? I think the zoo would have better success with combatting skin dryness by feeding the gorillas a diet that contained more oils, such as olive or coconut oil. Coconut oil could be applied to some of their food stuffs.

Good ol Vaseline. The Shea butter DOES WORK!! Y'all need to go in the lab or kitchen n prepare(lo heat) it with a carrier oil ie.. vitamin E, coconut, Argan, jojoba. Y'all need some assistance from the sista's....tap into your resources ppl!

I love seeing them walk on two feet instead of all fours! They are an amazing group of gorillas I just wish they had a much larger space to live with lush tall grass growing and tropical trees that bear fruit and nuts! That way they can forage all they want! They need more enrichment activities for sure!

Question … why is there not a humidifing system in place to keep help with the dryness of the air ? This would help their skin and nasal passages from dryness and cracking I would think.
