Kit, I’ve been coming back to your videos a lot this month, and I have to say-thank you for the help! You’re the reason I decided to get the Boox Palma 2, my very first e-ink reader. It was an easy choice since there weren’t many alternatives, but your content gave me the confidence to take the plunge. After a month of using the Palma, I realized I needed something bigger for longer reading sessions-it’s great for quick, on-the-go reads, but not quite enough for me. I’ve owned tons of portable gadgets over the years-iPhones, MacBooks, iPads-you name it. But as I’ve started reading more, I’ve found that iPads and iPhones just aren’t enjoyable for reading. I had no idea there were so many e-reader options out there! It felt overwhelming trying to choose the right one, but your videos came through for me again. After watching almost all your recent reviews, I decided to order the Boox Go 10.3. I trusted your advice the first time, and I’m confident this one will be just as perfect for my needs. Thanks for helping people like me make sense of this world of e-readers-it really is confusing at first! Keep doing what you’re doing-you’re making a big difference! I would love a video comparing many different stylus pens, as I already know that I am going to replace the stylus that comes with the Boox Go 10.3.

Surprised the manta didn’t take the crown. I’m disappointed that they sold out so quickly though. Makes me feel that as a company supermote/ratta isn’t quite ready for prime time. Apple Doesn’t sell out of its iPhones on day 1 of release!? So now I’m debating heavily between the nomad and this. I like the idea of the writing quality of the supernote but I like the size of the 10.3. And a little extra versatility never hurts. I also like the portability of the nomad as I travel between the office and the greenhouse and walk around taking notes. It sounds like the go 10.3 isn’t exactly cumbersome to be mobile with though. 🤔 😵💫😵💫

@horseman19567 күн бұрын
Strongly agree. I believe the lack of a front light on the Go 10.3 is seriously downplayed. It's a bigger deal than many people may initially think. I don't mind charging the battery once every few days versus one every few weeks if it gets me a front light. Heck, I need to charge my OLED notebook every other day anyway, so adding the Boox device to the mix isn't a bother. That said, I own the Go 10.3 and find the lack of a front light to be a huge miss. Without office quality lighting that screen is dark. Much darker than a standard piece of notebook paper. I suspect Boox is done with the Note Air 3/4 monochrome devices. A Note Air 4 in monochrome would diminish the sales of the Go 10.3. No front light layer, no SD expansion and no BSR means that Boox earns a considerably higher profit margin on the Go 10.3 . A Note Air 4 in monochrome would be perfect, but I don't believe it is going to happen.

I would like a e-ink tablet for tracking things in gaming. Writing out (or typing out) a page, with some fields frequently erased and rewritten. Picture like a D&D character sheet (though for many games, not just D&D). It would be nice to quickly access different "tabs" related to a single game. Notes per city or location, checklists, and resource tracking. Keeping a tablet next to me I could check things off and erase often would be fantastic. Would one tablet excel at that over another? I've been looking at the Boox Go and the new Supernote.

@KitBetts-Masters I still need to go trough the very lengthy indepth reviews for both, but I have trouble finding quick answers to a question I have. I'm switching from a Kindle paperwhite 2016 ( or so) model to something new. Problem is I'd like to simply read fiction AND take notes AND I'd like the eReader te be optimised for viewing educational books and electric, electronic and mechanical schematics ( 10", 13"? ). So I'm not sure what I want. Do I want an eReader or an e-Ink tablet? Something rugged and repairable as well, since I do commute by bike. I don't care much for Android, as long as it's something simple and quick, with PFD and ePub support. Am I asking for much? My search went from Kobo Eclipsa E2, to this BOOX go 10.3, to Supernote A5X2. I watched most of your video's on them ( exept for the full-in-depth ones, don't have the time ) and I'm still uncertain. Interesting point, but it wasn't the same level of anticipation, it wasn't a successor to a popular device which was 4 years old. Also we cannot know how many Mantas and Go 10.3s were available! Certainly Boox devices do sell out, and do end up with limited availability, but yeah, I take your point! This certainly isn't a conclusion to the Go 10.3 Vs A5X2 debate! That one will be ranging for some time.

@@MrWiggenhammer If the lithium-ion battery conks out on the Boox, users will be left with an expensive paperweight. The same can't be said for the Supernote. If it's the best, we are far from good enough. So many bugs! Name two files with the same name and you will see that boox somehow found a way to do their own file management system instead of using androids. It will confuse and merge the two files, but you still have two files. Touch in notes keeps bringing up the tag pop-up. You can't access or change the name of many directories, so only some of the files can be backed up to Google drive (again, because of boox custom file management system). Their own backup system is a joke with notes, unless you have two notes with little in it. A note with one full page of writing is considered a large note and is slow to render and work with. And on and on and on. It's a geek's tablet, or for someone that only uses it for a few very simple things.
