I would like to add that for the Heritage edition the 21L and 26L come with the new quick access pocket. On the first run it was only the 26L. I think that take the bag to another level for me as a fan of the original GR1, I really miss having a quick access pocket

Suggestion for you when you’re looking for a word to describe your introduction to various bags: Preview. That will differentiate a video that you don’t label as a review. I’m a Goruck fan so I very much enjoyed this preview video. Among my Gorucks I have a Huckberry slick 500D 21L for some EDC, and I really do like the fabric. I have a Heritage 26L on the way so I was very keen to hear your thoughts on it. Generally, I do not like leather accents but the waxed canvas, old school fabric lends itself to the retro use of leather. Thanks for this video of two bags so well displayed and described. I’m looking forward to your next project.

Really appreciate the review. Your the first one who hasn’t RAVED about the quick access pocket up top. It didn’t look that big to begin with to me. Other reviewers rant and rave how awesome it is. I’m waiting for the gr2 26L to drop again.

Thanks George! After seeing some Redditors mention holes in their heritage I’ve been wondering if my preorder is a mistake. But your endorsement calms my nerves. I’m intrigued with the canvas and all your reviews on the other bags I’ve had have been spot on. I do wish green wasn’t the only color way to get USA made YKK zippers on a GR bag but oh well.

Help! Im having such a hard time deciding between 26l GR1 Heritage and a regular GR1. I think the heritage version looks super sexy with its minimalistic front and waxed canvas but i just don't know if it's going to be a lot of maintenance (waxing) and maybe as durable for travelling the world...

George- check out the Billykirk No. 297 Standard Edition backpack. Waxed canvas, sweet bag..and they nailed front pocket utility on more of a heritage style bag.
