What a great thing to see than a dad with his daughter

Good review, love to see you so engaged with your little girl. She's absorbing all kinds of good stuff about how much her dad loves her. I built an 80 lb bag from a military duffel about 18 months ago and it's phenomenal -- shows no signs of giving out -- but my training partner has an 80 lb bag from one of the big companies and it is so much easier to use. I love using mine, but the awkwardness and the weird grips make it feel 20 lbs heavier than my buddy's commercial bag. Nice to have access to both.

I think building your own is a great option, but a self built bag has limitations namely if you are going to be dragging it and what your going to drag it on. I built about 20 bags for the PT program at the fire academy I teach and they didn't last one academy but they were getting drag on concrete. The Goruck bags are still going strong though.

5yrs ago I purchased 2 military duffle bags and a military laundry bag from a flea market for $13 total. 200 lbs of sand was $20 dollars.......one bag has 150 lbs of sand for carries....rowing and cleans....handles are not necessary as grip work goes along with the implement! 85 lbs of sand is in the small laundry bag for over the shoulder tosses..side tosses....overhead throws and long distance carries and bear hug squats.....the spare duffle is used to house the 85 lb bag for dragging with DIY handles in the grass and for heavy ballistic drags a 50 lb kettle bell is added....going on 5 yrs now my 30 dollar investment may outlive my 68 yr old ass!! The sand is inside contractor bags taped closed to hold down dust....if inserts are needed( I don't used them) contractor bags...weighted out...doubled over and duct taped can be used.. If you don't want to spend the money surplus duffles and sand make a great tool that is economical and lasts for a variety of uses....

Your daughter is so precious 👏❤️. I am also currently using the Goruck 40LBS Sandbag, absolutely love training with it, just learning the basics like cleans, curls, squats, rows, etc.. Also, I try to regularly Ruck with it, together with my hammered GR1 holding a 20LBS plate. Around 7KM.

@@danieldumas4518 it was intense! You could probably check some of their post on their IG feed. They showed some of it live and I was able to catch snippets of it. Do you have a Ruck?

1:35 YES! HAHA! Awesome review. You're teaching her great skills, my friend. I have a 3.5 year old that tries to show off her push up skills to me. 😄 I'm hoping she doesn't try to grab my kettlebell or club next! LOL!

The Rogue bags require you to pay for the filler bags so compared to this, you pay twice as much if not more for the Rogue Sandbag.

I didn't realize that thanks for the info. Have you tried the Rouge Bags?

The funnel bag is like 20 bucks and the individual traditional bags are like 20 bucks a piece

Any chance you could record a typical workout with your 40 lb bag so I workout along with it?
