Got a chance to ride in a BRAND NEW train 🇯🇵 JR YAKUMO

I had a chance (I thought) to ride a brand new train across Japan, from Okayama to Yonago. The Yakumo limited express has been running for years but they were replacing the old trains with brand new ones when I rode it. Would I get an old one or a new one? I had no idea until it pulled into the station...

No, passengers can't go (or even see) up into that elevated space; that's just the drivers. I started using a CGM (continuous glucose monitor) a couple months ago, so I pass the device over the sensor in the back of my arm to check BG. Still inject insulin into my legs though. 新型やくもなんて羨ましい。従来というか旧式やくもは多分私が子供の頃にスキー旅行で長野に行く際に乗った特急しなのと同じいわゆる振子電車というものかも。カーブが多い山間部をスピード緩めずに走るために遠心力を軽減するよう左右に揺れまして子供の自分には必ず乗り物酔いする電車でした。いい旅を！

Enjoyed the video but I have T1D questions for you. Saw that you took your fast-acting shot in your thigh. Do you always do that? Take it in any other muscles? I know that taking it in muscle is supposed to make it work faster. How long do needle tips last if you're shooting thru your clothes? I've always been a "stomach guy" for shots. Thanks.

I switched from my stomach to my legs several years ago after a doctor recommended it. So I only use legs now. (Did it in my arms back in the 1980s and 90s.) I usually don't do it through my clothes; I was just lazy on this one. So I usually don't have to change a needle because of that
