I think the simple quality construction is actually more attractive than the more decorative and expensive model. What a stunner!!

When you reviewed this aNueNue I had not even thought of buying a Ukulele. Have been learning and playing for just over four months now and found this review about a month ago when I was considering buying a " proper" instrument. What I bought was similar and from the GaU selling website. Bought an ASOS ASRIII in perfect condition with the clear water stringset on it. You are not wrong, these Ukes are really value for money and moreover such a joy to play. I would describe the tone as " Harplike " and crystal clear. Definitely not all chinese ukuleles are equal. So love these aNueNue. Definitely as near perfection as I'll ever need to get.

aNueNue are some of the highest scoring models out of all my reviews. I always consider them something of a 'one in the eye' for the people who claim all Chinese instruments are rubbish!

@@GotAUkulele many of the well known and we'll thought of brands have their instruments made in China. The problem seems to be with the cheap I ports coming direct on the the big two internet sellers. Although apart from the one I commented on to you a few days ago I have a Donner concert which I can't fault except as I progressed I found my paws needed a little more room. I've a Kala Baritone with a set of Ken Middleton strings which I have tuned to give GCEA with a low A to keep the bar sound but the standard chord shapes . It too is made in China but is an excellent instrument which I purchased from SUS but you get what you pay for and it was a lot pricier than the little Donner.

pronunciation is roughly "ahh new-ay-new-ay", with stress on the initial a. The a is supposed to have a stress mark over it when properly spelled, but we don't have that in the english character set.

I've tried the Super Lani but definitely think the ASOS series or Moon Birds represent better value, despite being more expensive.

Great video as always. I also prefer the head stock, it would look better with Gotoh Stealth tuners but that would bump the price up. Top marks fella 😁😀

If I didn't already have a Moon Bird Tenor, I'd probably be placing an order for this one. I hope aNueNue can expand their almost-nonexistent distribution in the United States. If they can increase production and maintain the same quality, they could become a major player in the US market.
@GotAUkulele6 жыл бұрын
I think they are being cautious. They were quite big almost 10 years back but spread themselves too thin, dropped quality control and lost a lot of dealers. I think they are keeping it more manageable this time around and it shows in the product quality
@WorldofUkes6 жыл бұрын
At present their own Asian market is taking up the majority of production. They are trickling some through to Hawaii Music Supply, plus I can ship to the US.

@@rmarlin Principles like that are admirable. If you dig deep though you will find lots of reasons not to support production in other countries too of course - my own included. Ultimately though these are just businesses like any other trying to make a buck. More accurately though, aNueNue are Taiwanese, manufactured in China and Japan.
