I do like the shape of the headstock. Dramatic negative difference in tone and timbre from the Enya.

I guess this is bulk manufactured... different brand names. You get these in India for about 6500 INR, the headstock reads strydom.

Probably - and pretty much the same as the Donner - one thing is for sure - it's NOT connected to the Enya production line

I like the Enya Nova … and still need to pick up a tenor sized model. This one you feature looks nice but doesn’t sound good… optional fret markers? LOL:) It seems like a toy rather than an instrument. Thanks for making this video so we know to avoid it :) Cheers

I have an Enya Nova tenor... and it sounds great! Plus, you get metal frets with it.

Thanks Baz. Looks like someone from Enya had a bust up, threw their dummy out of the pram and thought, “I’ll show you”. Sorry to tell them they didn’t and shouldn’t of bothered. Close but no cigar. So many quality ukes in this price range. Rosen……more like Fallen. Have a great day.

Enya is by far the better uke here! Nicer sounding, better volume and better looking. I'm not sure of the point of the compensation if the intonation was still poor? Sadly they look almost identical and come up together on Amazon. Thank you for the review.

I like plastic ukes in their place, but this one ain't it. The copying of the Enya doesn't bother me as much as the outright inferiority of it. Thanks for reviewing this.

@@GotAUkulele Have you seen the Cascha Carbon Fibre Ukulele? Its not a copy, more like a re-badge of the enya at the same price (Except the black enya now costs £50 more than any other colour). Any idea if it a re-badge or are there any differences? It still has the same Enya logos on the bag zips, etc.

Think you have been perfectly fair. You usually review instruments on their own, but since this instrument is so obviously a 'me-too' model, if not actually a rip-off, it was only fair to compare and contrast. Stick-on fret markers (in exactly the same design as the competitor's ones) looks to me like they were trying to make it as close as possible whilst still being able to point cosmetic differences (ours hasn't got fret-markers!). And to think that, when you put up the picture of the compensated saddle the other day, I thought we were in for a treat...

Interesting, but I'm not a fan of plastic ukes. I think they would be great for a canoeing trip, otherwise, I'll stick with wood. The blatant copying of the Enya is a real turn off for me.

Junk! 🙈 Trouble is, someone will buy this, realise it's junk and - wrongly - assume that EVERY plastic/carbon/non-wooden ukulele is crap too. I'm biased, I really like the Enya offerings and this is just extracting the urine. Thanks for finding and pointing out just SOME of con merchants out there. 👍

Love my Enya Nova for camping use and it is sad that people have no originality. I could see that chunky neck before you even mentioned it, and that is a turn off. Asking your customer to stick their own position markers on it after they get it is a total joke. Seriously? Toss in the crappy tuners and I would give this a HARD pass! Thanks for the review, Baz!

This is so disappointing. I loved the color and everything in your showcasing post and the saddle looked okay too. I really like the color, but it just sounds at least to my ear significantly worse than the Enya.

Must be the massively thick soundboard that tanks the Rosen's tone... and maybe the cheapo strings, too. Thumbs down (and the rest of my fingers) for the tacky decals, too. I {heart} my polycarbonate-with-fibers ukebox... and Enya admit in their current advertising that it's not "carbon fiber" like, e.g., an Emerald guitar body.

Oh boy, that was painful to listen to the horrible intonation! I wonder what the laws are around going after a blatant copycat in the instrument world? Rosen called their model a Nova, and the name was already being used by another brand and gaining a reputation. Seems to me like trying to profit off someone making a mistake and ordering a Nova without paying attention to the brand. A new Ukulele player could make such a mistake and then if they hate it and post bad reviews, Enya could take a hit to their reputation about a product they didn't make.... Seems shady all around to me!
