Omfg, I've been searching for HOURS and found nothing, I check it out every few months when I realize how wet the passenger side is. It's been 5 years! Countless mechanics that had zero clue. And only fixed the single issue I came in for. And it's THIS EASY?!!!! I can't thank you enough!

Wow, that's a nice running system there! Making a ton of condensate - that's a great sight on a hot summer day! I had a '99 Camry surprise me once - when I removed the hose expecting a trickle, a torrent of at least a gallon came out of there! It overflowed the container I had TWICE! HAHAHA! Had to pull up the carpet to let everything dry for weeks and weeks. I can laugh about it now, LOL! I just finished installing a WVE coil with NGK Iridium plugs in a '06 Xterra, 4.0. Wouldn't you know, the misfiring cylinder was #1 - the most difficult of all 6 to reach on that engine. Just my luck! At least now I know THAT one is good, so I won't have to go in there again for a long time. Anyway, great vid as usual, Mike. Have a great weekend! 👍🍻 Oh, and I like how your lift reservoir has a drain plug! I had to remove my entire reservoir to do an oil change last month! I got gypped! 🤣

Any drain, from the interior, usually won't have debris in it... Vent drains that leaves can get into are a major pita. ANY open hole/tube in a shady spot is a prime candidate for a spider to seal up.... (Major cause of headlight condensation is spiders in the vents..)

Thanks for the fine video, its very instructive. In may case, the hose is fine -no obstruction- but I can actually see water dripping from the case its self on both sides -the passenger and driver-. Could it be that the casing is clogged and how does that get fixed. I would greatly appreciate your advise. Thank you.

I've only seen one drain back up, but there was a little water that came out once it was cleared. I did see a coolant leak show itself (heater core leak) on an 06 Kia Sorento come out that drain. Not good. Hope your doing well Mike.

I always ran it up on ramps early summer and jammed a shop vac on the drain hose for a few seconds. Sucked it silly. Don't know if it was spider webs or leaf debris but ran clear all summer every summer.

I just had a 2008 Sienna in the other day with that same complaint. I pulled the hose off the evap case and little to no water came out. I stuck a zip tie in and the water started gushing out. I quickly put the hose back on and it drained for a good 2-3 minutes. Had to have completely filled the evap case. Once it drained, I got in there with my borescope camera to find the blockage. Turned out to be a balled up foil candy wrapper. Hmmm...how did that get in there? Checked the cabin air filter....found it completely missing! Took some doing to get that out but finally got it out in pieces.

Good to know; I never had this happen to me. Just wondering: Could you have started at the underside of the vehicle at the outlet and maybe probed with a thin wire possibly avoiding the interior mess?
@GoTechTraining4 жыл бұрын
Hey John, thanks for watching! Maybe it's more common in my neck of the woods? Who knows. As far as probing from the bottom, sure you could. Depends on the configuration of the hose. This one 90° right as it went through the body, so I wasn't really able to do it that way on here. Mike Becker, Senior Instructor

whoops, just said the same thing before seeing this :) squeezing open the pinch point and shop vac works if you can get to it underneath, I know some cars they like to hide it in no-mans land

Hello, Do you have a sunroof in your vehicle? Sunroof drains can get plugged and cause water to leak towards the rear of the vehicle. ~Ryan Wilsing
@bubblesdulce Жыл бұрын
@@GoTechTraining I do not have a sunroof. Could it possibly be from too much condensation from cups in the cup holder that ends up building beneath the surface and then growing? Cause that's about the only other thing I could think of. And thank you for responding!!

I had fan blower replaced last year. Due to it burned out due to mice possibly stuffing it. ? But have water originally on passenger side, do not see water on ground. Now drive side has it see it coming from under the dash where bolt or mount comes through. But the passenger side looks like a flood. I Dont drive much, due to a remote employee. Just hit 100K miles. Vehicle was bought used in 2019, but it's 2018. Car been on road since 2017 due to being a car rental when I purchased it with 30K.
