After watching the Salmon episode I realized the problem with Central. The students are being taught how to cook all the high-class gourmet food but they aren't LEARNING anything related to it.
@VulpisFoxfire6 жыл бұрын
Yep. And they just magnify the flaw of everybody that keeps losing to Soma...making quality dishes is fairly easy if you start with quality ingredients. But taking mediocre ingredients and turning them into something stellar? That takes knowing *why* as well as *what*, which is what Soma (and friends) excel at.
@KnightKiller10006 жыл бұрын
Exactly, which is why I hate that Central is focusing on being a 5 Star conveyor belt of food to be *only* for the higher up people and the noble folks. While the rest of us don't get the same food experience.
@KnightKiller10006 жыл бұрын
Not really, both Cook and Chef follow their passion and dreams to create new things, but of what Central is doing is the opposite of the passion and dreams.

And what kind of idiots are they? No one can afford a $30 meal everyday. If they keep pursuing 5 stars they'll end up with fancy restaurants on every corner.

Sometimes I really question how far did Erina's father and Central thought their plan through. Because I can't help but notice that if they'd only allow five-star restaurants to take over, there's not gonna be much profit or business for any of them since they'd be too pricey for anyone to pay. Plus, from what I learned from One Piece, when Senji faced off against those chefs, he reminded them that as cooks, they must not exhaust or abuse their ingredients and just using only the best of the best would just prove that they're not only inflexible but incompetent. Arrogance is not the best look for a fool, Azami!

Given what’s happened in this Anime, the blatant favoritism and elitism that Central and Azami are promoting, along with open Cheating, the only real reason Totsuki Academy didn’t have the Board of Education beating down their doors is because of the success they’ve turned out over several generations. So the question I’m losing next;How would Azami Nakiri have responded if a Student left with evidence of all this cheating and reported it? Even if some of this could be written off as teachers “pushing their students to succeed” or “testing them under difficult conditions”, Etsuya Eizan openly cheated. He Bought the Judges in a Food War and Openly admitted it! That in of itself casts a darker light on everything else. So yeah, combine it all, and it doesn’t look good for Mr. 5 Star Perfectionist!
@superanimeniac2 жыл бұрын
remember how, in yugioh, by the time of battle city, and more obviously in GX, card games ran the world? Yeah, that's what gourmet looks like in the world of food wars, esp by the time of the Central arc and BLU. The gourmet world runs the society. Eizan got away with it because he was one of the elite 10. Nakiri is a Nakiri, and ran the world's most prestigious cooking academy.

Some folks fail to understand the full severity of the Central arc at large. These students aren't being complicit (well some might be but i digress) they're embracing it. We know very little of exactly what classes are taught and what they simply expect students to know, but these students were at a disadvantage that would break even the hardest worker's back. Erina i believe took note of this as she later took over as Head since students were more motivated than ever. It's worth remembering the motivation behind Soma's generation as noted in season 5 by the elder nakiri who was simply trying to help his daughter and granddaughter. Either way, it makes for Food Wars' best arc during it's entire run. BTW I liked the BLUE arc despite it's being rushed.
