MORE IRyS PLEASE!!! 🥖💎❤️🥖 So here's the thing with "Carbonated Love", IRyS is a really big fan of Initial D, she's team soda, and eurobeat is like a lullaby for her, so she just put everything into a song 😆 Also, this is the first original she released after like 2 years, and the special thing about this one is that it's 100% HER. After Project: HOPE was left, IRyS was left without support for originals. That's why this song is special, IRyS being IRyS, with a good future for new original songs ☺️

A wonderful collection of songs. Watame's Revival is such a banger, the heavy instrumental and her voice are so good together and those high notes are just magical, absolutely one of my favourites! Towa's cover is so beautiful, I love her lower tones with the few higher peaks in the chorus, she sounds magnificent. Her voice just hits the spot for me here. Carbonated Love is such a fun song and IRyS does a great job on it, her voice is so captivating. And Kanauru's MV is once more insane, what a legend. HI:STREET TIME has this warm feeling and it's just a lot of fun. It's such a mood lifter. For recommendations, Matsuri's cover of プロポーズ /Propose, as always, and I'd love to see some more ReGLOSS, so I have to recommend Kanade and Ririka's cover of 絶絶絶絶対聖域 / Zezezezettai Seiiki, it's amazing!

I am pretty sure that cover songs are decided by the talents themselves, meaning Towa wanted to cover it herself! She really knows what fits her voice and she put her usual emotional power into it! IRyS and Watame originals were absolutely incredible! HoloID with the feelgood song too great video great song selection!

I recommend Nerissa Say My Name and Bettel’s Unlucky, along with an Aqua song since she’s graduating from Hololive at the end of the month. Or better just a decaded Aqua video if you don’t have a stream for that this month or next. Lui is also having a new song cover coming out tomorrow as part of a collab with Suisei, Axel of Holostars, and other VTubers not from HoloPro. PS: Covers are usually chosen by the members themselves not Hololive, so Towa chose to do this song herself. Also they pay for most if not all of the cost to make the cover too out of their own pocket, that’s part of why they get to choose what song to do because it’s with their money not Hololive’s company money.

I just want to point out something that was confirmed by Kanata. Cover pay the first 40k yens on any cover or original song, they pay the rest. It might have changed since then, but if it changed, I'm pretty sure the amount increased and didn't decrease. edit : I changed the amount because I made a mistake. The 10k was for another talent in another agency, Kanata said 40k, which is a good amount, but not nearly all of what they need for a song.

But yeah they have to pay for a majority of it so naturally they pick what it’ll be so it feels worth it.

@@animeguy1101 One doesn't invalidate the other. Let's take Marine's MV for example. If cover fork the first 40k for the song and the MV, that quality still require a few 100k, so Marine still have to pay from pocket a lot of money. That 40k is just there to help them make their projects a reality faster in a way, but it certainly isn't there to pay for everything. It also help them not really reach that point (Okayu might have eaten only that for a few meals if she chose to produce that song too fast, but it certainly wasn't for a full month, for example) But yeah, I agree with you. Since they pay for sucha huge amount out of pocket, they chose preojects that truly resonate with them and it shows. When it is so important for them, the quality will certainly be there and, up untill now, very few of their songs felt disapointing at all. They truly care about everything they do and the efforts shows.

Heck yeah Carbonated Love! that song is just so electrifying, just like a good eurobeat song should be. Honestly I think it would fit perfectly in any Initial D related anime (like the recently aired MF Ghost that I hope gets a second season). After joining hololive she fell in love with Initial D and eurobeat music, and this is her first original song outside the Project: Hope label, so she had more creative freedom to mix the things she loves and have been part of her identity during her journey in hololive: eurobeat, anime and soda (yes, she really loves soda, as implied by the song name). The result is this fun, addictive and energizing song. And I can't believe she killed Bloom and Gloom (the cat-looking mascots) and the Irystocrat (the stickman with a guitar). Also o7 for Aqua...

As to the vid itself, the music was done by the God of Eurobeat himself, Turbo and the animation was done by the legend Kanaeru, whose self insert is always derpRyS. He is famous for all the Easter eggs he shoves into every video he does.

If I might request something, and if many agree with me, you included... With Aqua's graduation, I think you might be interested in doing 2 videos dedicated to her. One where you react to many of her songs, the other one where you watch a bunch of her clips to better understand her and have a better appreciation of all the hard work she did. Since I'm too good of a public, I'll let others recommend the songs and clips (I'm so easy to please, I'm not sure my recommendation would be that interesting.)

I know, right? You don't look at Watame's design and listen to her speak and expect that a song she sings is going to be anything like that. D is a number... in bases 14 and above, most notably hexadecimal. Something I noticed in Carbonated Love is that one of the other girls seems to be out of place. She actually belongs there, but you wouldn't necessarily know that if you didn't watch IRyS or this other girl's gaming streams. For you see... most of the other girls are part of IRyS' unit, Hololive English Promise, but the other girl is Flare of Hololive (JP) 3rd Generation. They got pretty close. It's definitely using car racing and fizzy drinks as metaphors.
