Great reaction - but did you not hear Su singing Arabic style? Her vocals on this is one of the reasons why this may be my favourite song on the album (it is close with a couple of the others of course). "METALIZMIZUMIZUMU" - great song - Middle Eastern/Egyptian/Arabian (or similar) trance metal at its best.🤘🦊🤘

Welcome back to BabyMetal's metalverse 🦊🤘🌐 Queen SuMetal is narrating us a King's tale of the Metal Kingdom with this psytrance mixed with middle eastern, Egyptian, Arabian or whatever sound that looks so cool with the unique blend of BM. Hope you get the chance to see them live this year when going to your country and have a blast like fans are having so much fun at Sabaton's Europe Tour this month and next, coming back at the end of the year for more shows, c'mon Luke, i need to hear you'll meet them again. This was at BabyMetal Begins - The Other One live at PIA Arena MM, Yokohama last April 2nd, this is the first concert with MomoMetal being the official member, she has been the third backup dancer since 2019 and now she finally become an official member, we all proud of her.🍑❤ See you next time.🦊🤘🔥

I'm not sure what you heard, but Su is all over this song. Also, check out 'Shanti Shanti Shanti' from the 'Metal Galaxy' album. It's the closest previous thing they've done. 'METALIZM' is my favorite track off of 'THE OTHER ONE'.

MetaliZumuZumuZumu BM for sure is never afraid to experiment, and that's also a reason why we love them! So many different sounds, so everybody can find something they can like! :D They already did Bollywood/Indian style in "Shanti SHanti Shanti", and electronic/techno/dance sounds in "Iine", "Uki Uki Midnight" and others :)

8:04 Babymetal tries new styles/genres all the time, so it would be weird if you did hear Babymetal do this before. But the closest cousins of this song would be: Shanti Shanti Shanti from the 3rd album and Megitsune from the 1st album

Absolutely my favorite song off the album and I love it when Babymetal experiments and pulls it off. For me this was an outstanding success. I also love it for Su-metal's vocals, specifically that propulsive cadence she came up with for it. I don't actually disagree with anything you said, taste is taste and if it didn't work for you - for what you most value from a Babymetal song - that's what happened. One thing I've seen is that Babymetal fans seldom agree when they try to rank their top 10 or even top 5 songs. It's because Babymetal isn't trying to do just one thing with their music, which would make it easier to grade simply based on their success at executing it; musically they do many different things from one song to another. That variety works against forming consensus overall, yet can provide something special for different people in different songs. Like for the many fans like me who love METALIZM.

Appreciate your honesty and I understand your point. But It's not that Su-metal is not singing at all here. It's more like lyrics are pretty much brief. "METALIZM" is one of my favorites alongside "Mirror Mirror", "Believing" and "MAYA". And it's because it's crazy and unpredictable (very BABYMETAL). And yeah, that guitar work is insane and I REALLY can't wait to see it performed live... 6 more days... 😁 Until next time! 🤘🦊

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。 Metalizm was played in the two-day shows on April 1/2 and I witnessed the both at the venue in Yokohama😍. This MV is from Day-2 when Momoko appeared as the 3rd official member, Momometal for the first time. Western (American) Kami Band did a great job in those shows. *************** In an interview [magazine PMC vol.27 page 42]: ◆ Su "This is one of my favorite songs (in TOO album)" ◆ Moa "For me also. Metalizm !!" ◆ Su "This is the most chaotic song and classified as 'WTF" category in this album. I can't explain it properly, but I would like you to listen to it as soon as possible. And I believe this song will turn into something amazing in live performance" ◆ Moa "Song itself is, of course, good, but I assume it will give you different image when you see the choreo with live sound. So I look forward to seeing how it turn out at the venue. I wonder how the audience will react to and get excited with this song? You think so, Su?" ◆ Su "Yeah! There have never been a song of this type." = Interviewer "Flavor of Middle East, isn't it?" ◆ Su "That's right. This will be a new drawer of BABYMETAL" *************** Moa was correct. Choreo on stage by Su, Moa and Momometal was mixture of seriousness, playfulness, comicalness, therefore amazingness on top of Su's fantastic vocals and intricate guitar phrases and hefty drumming by West Kamis. The new drawer is a tribute to New BABYMETAL.

METALIZM is quite similar to Shanti Shanti Shanti from Metal Galaxy in terms of having Indian elements I believe. However the official MV for Shanti Shanti Shanti is quite painful on the eyes for a lot of people so maybe a live compilation is better for it 😅 If you want really cool choreography, check out Syncopation! I think the choreography in that one is really good. It was never released in the UK but there are live videos Alas, Babymetal don't release MVs for all their songs (The Other One has the most so far, I believe) so don't be surprised if you have to eventually listen audio-only Babymetal's stage presence is so good, but having seen them eariler this month performing with Lordi and Sabaton I've got to say- Sabaton have some *incredible* stages. the whole thing looked like a WWI battlefield and the tank shot out fireworks.

Arabian psytrance metal! 🕺💃🤘 You hear "metarizumuzumuzumu" repeated a lot in two sections of the song where in the official lyrics the lines are represented each time by a single "METALIZM." The katakana pronunciation of METALIZM is メタリズム/Metarizumu. Metarizumuzumuzumu = メタリズム/Metarizumu (metal rhythm) + ズムズム/zumuzumu (thrumming (e.g., with excitement)).

Middle eastern affect here. Vaguely similar to shanti shanti shanti which was of Indian influence. So I'm guessing you absolutely hated Babymetal death , because Su doesn't sing at all. All she does is say her name a couple of times. 🤔 This is just another version of the metal genre known as " Babymetal ". And for me, this fits perfectly on the album in the context of how a concept album works. There's a few more different varieties on this album yet for you to discover. 🦊🦊🔥🦊🦊

I agree with you this is my least favorite. Doesn't mean I don't like it and I definitely don't skip it when I play the cd all the way threw but out of the 10 songs this would be the last song I pick. And with regards to you saying every song sounds different is actually on purpose. The plot of the concept is 10 DIFFERENT worlds and I think they nailed that perfectly. Mirror mirror & monochrome are my fave but everytime I hear time wave and Maya the inch up a little more

I got to agree with you in terms of Su not really getting to sing much. That being said, did you notice this is the first video where Momo has a mic? I agree with you that it is very different from most of their other stuff, to me this is the next step from their song of Shanti, Shanti. When you listen to this song more, you'll enjoy it more as you get a bit more used to the crazy changes so there is that. I didn't like this song much to begin with, but now I like it, but it isn't in my favorites list. Surprisingly, I think my favorite song off this album (not including Monochrome piano version) is Light and Darkness I think and their last song on the album, the name escapes me.... it was a long day at work and I'm about to collapse lol

What did you mean by ''almost electronic'' ? It was totally electronic with a Goa Trance vibe at about 150BPM. And awesome. SERIOUS RECOMMENDATION>>> You’ve said b4 you’ve realized you thought you lived in a house but you realized it was actually under a rock, you were absolutely shocked in the best way by Pentatonix, so here’s what’s probably the best thing you can listen to if you want to feel that kind of awe, wonder, and joy in music again (just different kind of music you can’t prepare for) Listen to this band for yourself if not for the channel (even though I REALLY want to see your reaction, you should still listen even if you don’t do a video), you’ll be doing yourself a favor- Type O Negative: “Nettie” as a first time listener, or “September Sun” as a second choice for a beginner song. An excellent second time song would be “Green Man”. They also got tentative permission to do a cover of “Paranoid” from Black Sabbath depending on final approval after recording (which they got) and Ozzy loved it because he said it was like the song was a different side of the mind state the lyrics were depicting, so they kept the message, showed another side of it, and made it their own without taking anything away. Ozzy said he’d be putting it on his playlist at home. Both vocals and the quality of composition are shockingly amazing in all their music so ALWAYS use headphones (although they have at least 1-2 songs/album that are sort of joke tracks making fun of their own image as their perceived or the kind of fans they attract or whatever, but unless you can spot the irony or research the song you probably won’t get the joke). The only other thing I’ll tell you is that they were vastly under appreciated in the USA and you should listen to recordings or videos rather than live shows (they were still very good, and definitely great shows, but not the quality that’s so amazing) cuz the lead singer had crippling stage fright so bad he chugged down enough alcohol to go out and put on a great show… but his voice quality suffered from the nerves AND the alcohol applied to vocal cords minutes before singing. A second recommendation would be Lacuna Coil “Enjoy The Silence”, again, doing yourself a favor whether you upload it or not. I can absolutely promise you won’t regret it based on what you’ve liked in your other videos. Type O Negative is truly unique and there’s never been anyone else like them.

I'm coming to this reaction late, but I'm sure you'll have clicked onto the fact that the album is a parallel universe concept, and that is what makes this album so fascinating a listen. That we have what is effectively a collection of alternative Babymetal's is a brilliant thing to do with their style. I only got the album the day before writing this comment (I didn't even know it existed until a couple of days earlier!) but I love it from the outset.

Also not one of my favorites, I like their other song that is similar Shanti Shanti Shanti a lot more. I think because at the end there is more music it does feel like Su is singing less. And she is singing beautifully but I do think her best vocals and cadence falls on Shanti. Maybe I'm biased since Shanti Shanti was when I noticed the growth of Su's vocals but maybe that's just me. If you want a band to get into who also does many different styles, I highly suggest Day6, they're not making any music at the moment, bit they were very active from their debut in 2015 through 2020/2021-ish. Definitely my all time favourite band. They're a Korean rock-band in simplified terms, but they have a large variety of sounds, so yeah, you should checm out Day6 if you haven't please, lol
