Been to over 300 concerts. I know what you're saying. Some of the best front men aren't as dynamic as Taylor. Rock, pop, country, folk, Christmas, hip-hop - she can morph into any genre. Jagger is a badass front man, but Taylor is something completely different. Taylor once did an Eminem cover. If everyone felt the same way about Taylor that we do, the world would be on its way to a kind, beautiful, baked goods filled Utopia lol

She’s like Freddie Mercury “my job is to play the crowd” he had the voice, played guitar and piano, wrote most of their songs, but stick him in front of an audience and they were mesmerised. She does the same thing. Also lots of heavy metal bands cover some her songs because the beats of her songs are so transposable
@bammmitsrachel10 ай бұрын
i agree with everyone on the rock album. like girl scream your head off in every song, it would be so experimental for her if she did this! if she makes it 100% rock (no pop), she may also gain more rock fans too! this performance was so good, we all hoped she'd put it as a bonus track on Red Taylor's Version but he's hoping for an album!

Now you can join the rest of us in wanting a rock album. 😂 It’s a lot different from the album version (and I do prefer the rock version, and really want the audio of this for a playlist), but the music video for this song has a special place in my heart. For one, you get to see how young her band is - and it’s fun realizing just how LONG some of them have been with her! - but two, it’s done in a single shot. Some people think that was lazy, but anyone who has ever done a one-shot knows just how difficult it is. (Just think about how enthusiastic people were about the Daredevil hallway one-shot. It was complicated for different reasons, but not more so than a multi-outfit change oner.)

This album and tour were epic. Some of her best singing ever was done during this concert tour. She tapped into her soul and let her voice fly and explored more of her range, and it was glorious. I also know she was suffering, and I just have to say that commenting on someone’s body just because they’re a public figure is just scumbag behavior. She didn’t deserve what she went through before this album, or after it.
@Pathfinder19711 ай бұрын
As much as I love Taylor and an acoustic guitar there’s nothing like her and an electric guitar. You can see just her and an electric guitar in the Grammy Museum performance, which you would love. You’d also love her Making of a Song videos, which show her creative process as she’s literally creating some of her most iconic songs. That includes her with an electric guitar forming the first phrases of King of My Heart. (kzbin.info/www/bejne/qYHEloRsbLmjnacsi=CmxJMhoxktjK9uQD)

Yes we absolutely need a rock album from Taylor. I've been wanting a rock album from her well ever since I went to the 1989 World Tour, I went two nights and the first I was right next to the runway next to where she stands when she sang this song, and I was so close I could actually hear her strumming/playing the guitar as if the amp was off; so if anyone (which I doubt it but I know there probably are some) think that Taylor isn't actually playing or some bizarre sh*t like that, I can confirm she absolutely is haha Just wanted to share because whenever I hear this performance or watch it thats immediately what my brain goes to in terms of memories. Ah You gotta see The Eras Tour, Man! If you're able to go, I'd love a review video from you talking about your thoughts and experience!

I've been to a great many concerts myself. I'm also in my 50's and I was able to see some legendary bands and artists perform. I went to rock shows with an older brother so I saw early Van Halen, Journey and Loverboy. I saw Loverboy as an opening act for Kansas when I was like 11 or 12. When I was old enough to make my own choices I saw REM, Duran Duran, Prince, U2, Elvis Costello and Squeeze. I have seen huge acts like Paul McCartney, Billy Joel, Elton John, Tom Petty and so many others. I have always been a live music fan and I'm just mentioning the biggest and most well known shows. I thoroughly enjoyed all of it but I can truthfully say that the only band that I saw where I felt something akin to a religious experience was U2. This was during the War and Unforgettable Fire tours which were small arena tours where I was. It was such an emotionally immersive experience and I have never felt so connected not just to the music but to the crowd itself. It's difficult to describe but it was not just the euphoria of seeing a great show. Bono had some freaky gift where he could make you feel so connected to them and to each other. I have not had the pleasure of seeing Taylor live however I think she has that same talent in spades. Hers is actually stronger cause she can make an 80K seat stadium feel like a small arena. Bono couldn't pull that off as the U2 stadium shows were fun but the magic was gone. I've never seen a performer like her.
