@@GOTGamesliterally all of her music videos are her ideas - she generally approaches directors with ideas of what she wants for the video - sometimes with full storyboards. She started co-directing videos in the 1989 era, and as of The Man, she’s directed all of her music videos. So basically, you can’t go wrong. I’d just put the music videos in a hat, shake, and go from there. Keep in mind that almost every video has a behind the scenes on her channel, too - they’re ALWAYS worth watching, and almost no one reacts to them. (Hint hint, niche market. 😂😉)

I love this version of Wildest Dreams. And yes, there is a certain melancholy to many of Taylor's songs. For me, it makes them super relatable. You did Christmas Tree Farm...but did you know Taylor also has a song “New Year’s Day”? Look for the "Fan Performance" version, which was filmed at her home in Rhode Island...with about 100 fans sitting in her living room. She plays piano in that one, so it's different than most of what you've seen before. This is the house that she wrote about in The Last Great American Dynasty.

Taylor was the shy kid in high school no one wanted to hang out with. She had very few friends, and she’s been badly hurt by a lot of relationships, platonic and romantic, since. She genuinely doesn’t believe people are going to stay - because experience has taught her that they don’t. And it’s a really sad loneliness that comes through in her songs, especially this one.

Taylor Swift has seen so much heartbreak for somebody her age, and she write about her life so a lot of her songs are sad for that reason. Its really sad, she seems like such an interesting person but especially when she was very young in the industry she was preyed upon by a couple of older men who really don't seem to have had the best intentions for her. As much as I like the art that she created with her pain I still feel that she deserved a lot better than she's gotten in her life, especially romantically. But like she said herself "may your heart remain breakable but never by the same hand twice". Edited to add: I love your well wishes at the end of the video! I’m excited, I start graduate school next week after spending an embarrassing amount of time deciding what to do after college. 2024 is definitely going to be the year things improve for me!
