I just binged the show and I totally agree! I guess he did probably inspire Bruce along with Alfred in how he would eventually act as Batman. Alfred showed him how to show compassion and let others make their own paths in life (that he can't tell or force people to change who they are/their ways) while Gordon showed him to take the law into his own hands, to believe in hope (There WILL be light) but to know when to use force and his own darkness and when to not, much like Alfred (but he SAW it much more in Gordon and the struggle).

+Ilovehertjes You should most definitely watch this show! And please don't be discouraged if the first season isn't A+, because it isn't. It's a bit disjointed, and suffers a tad from the "Villain of the week"-syndrome. BUT now that season 2 is underway, I can tell you it gets better. Oh dear lord, does it get better! We now have a more overarching story line unfolding, more of the best characters, and probably the next Emmy Award winner, Cameron Monaghan, absolutely stealing every scene he is in as a proto-Joker. He is seriously up there with Nicholson and Ledger, I'm not kidding. Watch it! :D
