That was actually not a dev working on this game. It was a rocksteady dev, those who made the main Arkham games. This is from WB Montreal, they made Arkham Origins. Great breakdown, especially with explaining the frame timing and why the game “feels bad to play” even if it’s hitting that 30fps cap. Back when computers/microprocessors barely had any memory and languages without proper memory management existed developers actually had to use their brains in order to implement even the smallest of features. Nowdays thanks to all these bloated tools and evolution in hardware devs just seem to care about their product as long as it meets the bare minimum, their product running. Please do an update/analysis on Gotham Knights after the DRS update for console. Not a single tech channel has done this despite DRS changing the game drastically. For one, how much more stable is the fps and framepacing? Secondly, how much worse is the image of quality due to lowered resolution? I hate how often this happens and how quickly all these graphics channels move on to the next thing despite the game being totally altered by the devs. There’s no info available anywhere on the net. What are the upper and lower bounds of resolution? How agressive is the scaling? What are the differences in performance between ps5 and series x? Thanks

With the release of the absolutely stunning MW2 running at 60 fps locked - Devs have absolutely no excuse why they can’t make a next gen game on these consoles at 60fps. 30 is old news. I’m not touching this until then.

On a console that runs Horizon Forbidden West and Ghostwire Tokyo (and everything else) at silky smooth 60 fps with dynamic resolution and stuff? Is that a joke?
