This game is a beautiful example of the power of force moves. I remember Levy always reminds us of finding checks, captures, and forced. I never understood forcing moves until this video. @@Alkuf100 How do you know it's boring, clown? Also you do realise that Bishop endgames are the second most common piece endgames after Rook endgames, right. Plus you do know that Levy has yet still to cover the basics of any Bishop endgames in general. The only piece endgames he has covered are King and Rook endgames. Levy has still yet to post up videos on not just Bishop endgames, but also for Queen and Knight endgames too.

It doesn't matter if you get a slight material advantage of say one or two pawns from the opening or middlegame if you're unable to convert said advantage. Endgames are an essential part of the game on how to convert said advantage, if you're unable to checkmate or make your opponent resign during the opening or middlegame.

1. because white can’t really move the queen anymore without losing the rook 2. white would just take the f2 pawn with the king and mate black

1. Black just plays exf2+ (free knight with check first) and then Nb8 blocks the pin and white is out of moves. 2. If Qa6+ then Kxf2 is alright because black no longer has a check on that diagonal and white is still threatening mate.

No, Qa6+ Kxf2 and black has no more safe checks as the queen cannot take c5 with check from a6 like it could from c8 (which is why Kf1 first is correct).
