That checkered "wasteland" dress is an incredibly hard silhouette for almost all body types, you are not alone. A few others are suggesting belts and corset belts, and I think they're on to something there. But everything in this haul is super duper cute and I love seeing what different styles you go for for each of your hauls since you enjoy changing styles every so often.

Hey might sound weird I'm on the coat and you were wanting a way to fix it why don't you sew up the button holes cut off the buttons reattach the buttons to the closed holes then sew some snap buttons on the back of the button holes and on the space where the buttons used to be? Could be done in around 1-2 hours for super super cheap

Assuming that the pockets can snap off from the loops on the belt all you have to do is unsnap both the pockets from the belt then untwist them. After you can rotate the pockets so the buckles are in the front like on the website then snap them back onto the belt. The front of the belt with the zipper and clasps looks like all you need to do is unclasp two clasps on the same side then unzip the belt. I hope this helps. :)

You could try using a large thimble for when doing up the buttons, might help as thimbles can be used to bush needles through tough fabrics.

All very cute 🙂. The puffy checked dress is reminiscent to me of a 1950s style dress which would have been worn longer; slightly below the knees. I think the dress would be more flattering at the longer style and draw the eyes down making you look elegant and more of a pinup style. I don’t know why they made that dress so short. Anyhow I loved all the clothes. 💜🦇

That first jacket suits you really well, and I hope you find a way to make buttoning it easier! For the dress, it may help to take a needle and thread to do a running stitch down the center of the bust or hip and gently pull on it to gather the fabric and make it a little less bulky in the 'problem' areas. The second jacket is really pretty too! Let's face it. Everything looks really pretty lol.

Okay I thought the belt bag was so cool so I bought it and I just got it today. And mine has the straps with buckles on the front of it and the 1 plain strap in the back. So it can be opened fully. Which means not only is your strap sewn on wrong with that twist in it, but it was sewn on the wrong side. Which is a bummer. Also it is fake leather, I asked customer service before purchasing. In case anyone else is interested 👍 cuz I couldn't seem to find belt bags anywhere else that were anywhere near as nice. So def worth the purchase!! (As long as you dont get a defective one) Super nice quality!

I've been drooling over that jacket for a long time, ahh Regarding the strap - it looks like the pockets is attatched to the belt with snaps? So if you take one of the pockets off, flip it around, and attatch it again the strap should be fine.

The "poof" dress gives you a great hourglass shape and makes you look smaller because I can see it's the dress that flares out not you! I think it looks fantastic! I wish there was some way for you to feel more comfortable in it because it is adorable on you!!!

I looked at the belt-bag-thingie in their online shop and the weird annoying strap seemed to be across the bum, not the belly. So maybe they put yours together the wrong way? I dunno... Oh, wait, the bag part is put on the belt with buttons, so you should be able to turn the whole thing around instead of cutting off the strap.

With the pocket belt, it has probably been assembled wonky. You could undo the corset back and unclip the front, it should be able to untwist the strap. Then, the hassle of re assembling it. It is a weird place for a strap though. If you're planning on removing it then fair enough, I would too.

You could leave the buttons where they are, then glue (E6000) to snaps (or poppers)to the under side. This way rather than a over the top and through button placket it will connect on the underside of the buttons. Alternative is hooks and eyes or if you are super crafty or take to a tailor have a zip added. Message me for help! I sew and modify garments all the time!

I had a look at the belt on the Punk Rave website, and to make it seem even more odd, that strap that's giving you trouble is on the back on the model... I'm curious, those poppers that attach the pockets to the belt... do they come undone, or are they stuck like that? Because you could undo those and twist everything the right way round :)

Yea the strap makes sense in the sense that that it would keep the pockets from flapping up, but it makes more sense if it's on the back rather than the front.

I think you have one. But maybe one of those halter belt things that go around the shoulders and waist/ribs/chest over that grey checkered dress might naturally tailor it a bit more but still show off the flounceyness. Otherwise just shrugs and rib length jackets zipped up. Kelly uses the halters pretty well to counteract the "matronly" aspect of having bigger boobs when she's wearing a full coverage, long sleeve shirt. It shows off her true waist better so she doesn't look so poofy up top or "over balanced".

I looked at the picture on the website and that strap is not twisted like y ours. Return? Also, I agree with your instincts about the grey dress. I like you in everything BUT that one. I felt it was a bit rumply and I don't think I'd find that appealing on anyone. It looks as if it's been sitting in the clean laundry basket for a few days. Sorry, :( My fave was the first jacket and you have some good suggestions on how to fix the button problem. Snaps, loops, even hooks and eyes. If you left it like this the buttons could eventually ravel the hole thread and velvet. Ugh, been there.

There's something called a button hook you might be able to try for the one top......I know they used to used it in like Victorian age or when they used to have those huge dresses with the millions of buttons. It might save your fingers some :)

If you can use a stitch unpicker you can probably get the strap off easily without damaging the entire design or look of it Or you could cut it so there's some excess, then pin it back so you can't see it
