I auditioned and sang with the Santana band in 1976. His soul and spirit is genuine. He always treats me like one of the fellas even though just auditioned for the band. Congratulations Brother. I have a story about him..Myself and a friend went to a small blues festival in Chicago a while back. Buddy Guy and BB King showed up further away from the main stage and played for about an hour and a half. The crowd was about 7 people. I don't think the crowd at the main stage had any idea they were there or who they were. Those kinds of things don't happen often in life. I'll never forget that day.

I also requested Oye como va from an underground FM DJ to play while I was at a drive-in movie theater for my 16th birthday., which he did.
