I've been weirdly obsessing over my double chin the past couple weeks (and I don't even look at tiktok or celebrities; just happened to be hatin' on myself). This came at a perfect time for me. Thank you.

It’s a really good point but she draws comparisons to trends to help counteract current trends. It’s a thought exercise. Totally agree with you on the principle of what you’re saying but this video helped me personally especially the part about historical looks.

As a dentist I can confirm the skin under chin is necessary. The space present is occupied by salivary glands and facial muscles. Every part of the body has a purpose please don’t alter it.

I just have to say that I’m not interested in this sort of information fundamentally, but your delivery and passion for it has intrigued me and I think you deserve a great deal of credit for shining a light on these issues for vulnerable persons. I’m a nineties chick, came of age in the late grunge era and am so grateful I didn’t grown up in this time. Hats off to you for being a voice of reason in a time of complete insanity!

Yeah it seems the pressure on teens and young adults at this time is a lot higher when it comes to beauty standards and perhaps in general, we just live in strange n anxious n erratic and often overwhelming times. This lookism that is kinda booming rn is maybe just another form of reality escape in order to cope. I WISH I would have experienced my adolescence in the 90s. Seemed like such a cool , chill and innocent time, especially compared to now.

Once I told myself - you have a chin and some fat deposits in it, shockingly - comes with being a human, so accept it or emaciate yourself to the degree of losing all essential fat. Don't want to be dead or extremely skinny so I have put up with my chubby chin and got used to it. I am lean, have a small percent of body fat, nevertheless there is a fat deposit in my chin 🤷
@LMN292210 ай бұрын
Same here. I am underweight but have a double chin, also have a normal sized waist, so no wasp figure eventhough i am so skinny. Sometimes you body is just built how it is and no amount of weight loss can change that

I've developed a double chin around my 24th birthday (this year) and I've been feeling really insecure about it. It doesn’t help that I'm physically the taller version of my mother and she hates on her own body then tries to project that a little onto me. 😪 The longer version of this video made me feel better about having a double chin. 🥺💗

I was watching this movie from the 80s with just the sexiest women and they had double chins and back fat and everything. Now everytime I feel bad about my chin I think about those icons and it helps my self-esteem. Media really makes a difference and our media nowadays is worse than ever.

I used to hate my double chin cuz i have a slight small jawline, also used to have a slight overbite, and ive been mewing for a few years now, my double chin lessened but still unsatisfied, because back in my early childhood i was called a bunny because of my slight buck teeth, also called a mouth breather, it wasnt my fault i became like this, i just had allergies, luckily i never got called like that anymore, ive changed, people that used to call me that, thinks i looked different now, but since ive heard alot of koreans obsessing over soft jawlines and chins i guess im not satisfied on what i have.

I literally had no idea until a few weeks ago that I apparently have a strong jawline. I thought may face just looked like it morphs into my neck. I thought my face was a round pumpkin! But my hairstylist (who I met when I tried to get into modeling. She works with lots of models) told me that hairstyle I wanted would look great with my strong jawline and I was like WHAT Because I didn’t think I looked like the pictures of women with string jawlines. My jaw had literally been one of the most insecure parts of my body for years because I thought my face was to round and undefined. Apparently it’s not.
