Braden Holtby partook in some 'redecorating' behind the scenes after being pulled for allowing his third goal of the game, a decision he vehemently disagreed with.

I remember this game well. Oddly, whoever edited this video actually did not show a part of this clip that really does show that Holtby was pissed. You could see it in his face. I will point out that Coach Barry Trotz did not pull Holtby because Holtby gave up three goals. Trotz pulled Holtby because the entire Caps team in front of him was NOT doing THEIR job. He did not want Holtby's stats to be marred because the rest of the team was lazy, which they were that day BTW. Barry Trotz explained this after the game that it was a message to the rest of the team to wake the f_ck up.

For all you guys thinking he was mad at the coach for the decision, I think he was mad at himself tbh. 3 goals in about 22 minutes isnt great. He hasnt been playing his usual self over the past month and he knows it. So it's probably frustration not being able to perform at the level he knows he can perform at.

why would you pull a goalie in the second period after letting 3 goals on 18 shots? The defense shouldn't be allowing 18 shots by the 2 min mark of second period lol. The only thing to justify this, is Holtby just needed rest.
