I had tonnes of music on my disks, a DVD Burner and MP3-player so I didn't get it at first when I got my invite but one day a few weeks later I was bored and figured I'd check it out. I think Capitalism has to evolve through technology. Paying creators based on advertising seems to me like a form of taxation of the rich and at the same time maintaining meritocracy. Whoever makes the best content will get paid the most, and at the same time you are letting all the young people, maybe without money, to experiment and grow and offer much much more to society and technology.

And you are making the products torturous to the customer since the advertisers will never argue to pay more for less advertising and the will of the consumers to have their lives not plastered with adds is not even considered, they can just pay and watch without adds but thats the issue, even youtube red has adds, companies push the profit to the corporations, move the overton window to what is acceptable in advertising untill you get near to nothing for poluting your media with hours of advertising and you cant really reach mass audience because the platforms are not competing, they are largely monopolies of mass access which is the only way you cam make money in many cases, make a little money but from millions of people. Bottom line this is why theres add regulations in television broadcasting. We need thesame on the net or a pay per add watched to the add viewer in order to actually show the add. Making the add watcher a part of the negotiation. You set up a demand of payment for having the add displayed, the advertiser sets up amount hes willing to pay per view of his add, the content creator sets up how much money he expects to be offered to him aswell. This matches marketers with add watchers and co tent creators. And if a math is made the add is displayed and the content according to the deal...

It's quite sick that the LAN i attented as a child had the creator of PirateBay and one the most dangerous hackers ever as a guest. My friends also says the reason CGI (large support company giving support to global banks) Had their security upgraded hundreds of times over 3 months where Gottfrid hacked the servers hundreds of times in a row. Getting locked out and finding new ways in over and over with like 15 minutes inbetween. Imagine that like half of CGIs programmers and own "hackers"(probably 20-30 ppl) had to work against one person for 3 months 😂 Until they managed to ping him. Those 3 months of attacking CGI is the only reason Interpol found him.

With the current laws back then the belief was you chould not get convicted sense you wasnt the one distributing the files, but the users sharing parts of it to eath other.
