It depends... if you are having fun with ranged builds in TTRPG or other MMO goferit! If this is your FIRST time in the fray, then you will be challenged somewhat. (That can be a GOOD thing, in my book).

I'm following the horizon walker version of the build, and I saw you don't level Listen, but you picked a skill that immobilizes with the DC based on your Listen skill. Is the listen DC not important? is it because it's impossible to raise it high enough to work or something like that? build has been a blast to play (at least after getting to level 4 and unlocking the aoe haha)

I tried new AA and I couldn't stand it. I always want to make bow builds work but the lag would just eat my arrows constantly and the AOE shot was inconsistent.

If ranged character now have AOE that have no maximun targets (like AOE spells) do you think they should change / add strikethrough, because now melee's AOE is the worst of all styles because you can only target few enemies at a time? Kind of annoying to swing a gigantic sword at 10 kobolds and hit 3 of them while an archer can use 1 arrow and hit them all...

No. Melee AoE isn't the worst. The hitbox on ranged AoE is much smaller and you have a cost to get these special attacks. It's not the same as melee having AoE on every single THF swing. Every auto attack and every special attack.

Trying out this build. I'm enjoying it so far. However, I've noticed the non-free to play skill points are consistently off by at least one or more. Looks like maybe you used a tome that's not reflected in the build?

He has 2 Universal Tomes (I think they come with certain top-end packs, such as the most recent one and maybe Sharn).

Anyone know if SNEAK damage carries over to all enemies on the various AOE shots?

It does as long as you also qualify for sneak attack on those targets.

Everybody having AOE becomes necessary when their answer to raising difficulty is just to drop swarms of mobs every 30 seconds. Game balance and all that. Bow characters were fundamentally useless.

You could, but then you have less imbue dice and no arcane archer so you lose the AOE from there which is really really nice. So yes you can, but the leveling is a lot worse

Sadly Not every character has an extra 15 (or 14 if Helf) enhancement points for the racial tree.

I didn't test it myself, as I just really wanted to play dragonlord, but your results may vary. I can't confirm bow users being extremely strong at end game, but having spoken to shuriken throwers and having seen it in action the AoEs are allowing people to do 12-15k aoe attacks on R10 in succession (when properly built) and shurikens with aoe are doing some insane stuff. With regards to bows doing the same thing I cannot confirm.

@@AnarchyJesus I'm not sure, players keep their builds close to their chest so I don't know the exact skills used, I've just seen it. Legendary Rally can be used along side epic strikes though, so maybe that's it.

Ill disagree, while the AOE has been LONG overdue, Doing the WIZ build on a Elf (or variant) gives more spells, more SP and more damage dice. With INT to Attack/Dmg plus INT as the DC..... on a necro Build.... add in mabey horizon....

There should be more ways for single target DPS builds to fight groups. I'm not against ranged aoe! I'm just saying ok, now we have aoe as one way. What other approaches could there be to make single target DPS fun and achievable - other than grouping and beefing your hitpoints and tankiness, I mean. People play DPS so they can DPS, not so they can tank (I mean in terms of where the "fun" comes from in picking a DPS.). You don't really want people to be giving up DPS choices just to stay alive, or at least, you want them to have to do as little of that as possible. ...I'm still not against ranged aoe, I'm looking forward to playing with it!

You find oh so many arrows though, so goddamned many arrows. Even if you use fire arrows against a fire elemental, you heal them for a little bit and kill them with everything. I don't use conjure arrows and I don't have to buy them, also they are easy to craft, super easy and I just don't care anymore.

Greatest changes you've ever seen? Its a nerf bro, stop schilling for the company. Every time they come out with anything, good or bad, you post a video on how amazing it its. Ranged went from one of the top dps, down to mediocre at best, this isnt a good change. Not everything SSG does is good, stop it, stop lying.

Infact I made a fresh account with this arrow build and solo'd everything on elite up to lvl 18, then it got hard. So yes the Lord may enjoy seeing you, just be sure you visit him as well.
